White Fiddle Crab (Ocypodidae)

in Beauty of Creativity2 days ago

We decided to look for some unique creatures around the ponds which is surrounded with mudflats, as my friend said, I could possibly find the little crabs in the banks. Yes! I saw a lot of them but it's rather hard to catch. They aggressively hid themselves in the ground soon they noticed me coming. Since I planned to take their pictures as many as possible, I decided to wait until they showed up again. They once made me frustrated, then I realized taking macro pictures has much to do with patience. Finally, a little white fiddle crab came out from the save heave, and there I was quite ready with the shot. While being steady, I rushed taking pictures from different angle, so you can see this beautiful creature from other sides. Whilst the fiddler crab is classified as an omnivore, it does present itself as an opportunist and will consume anything with nutritional value. Through it to extract organic material. This crab will filter out algae, microbes, fungus or any form of detritus. Once finished consuming all the organic matter from the sediment, these crabs will then deposit them as small sand balls near their burrow.

এরকম সাদা কাকড়া যে হয় তাই অজানা ছিল। লাল কাকড়া দেখেছি, তবে সাদা দেখি নি। খুব সুন্দর ক্যাপচার করেছেন।
