Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 119: My Plans for Steemit Next Year
Good day, everyone.
Trust you’re all doing great? It feels nice and refreshing to participate in this amazing contest. Being part of activities like this always reminds me why I enjoy being on the Steemit platform.
This is a great question, and I’m happy to answer it honestly. Steemit has been good, nice, and truly wonderful to me in 2025. It hasn’t just been about earning rewards; it has been about learning, growth, and meeting people who genuinely want to see others improve. Through different contests and interactions, I have gained confidence in myself and my abilities. This year has helped me understand that consistency and patience really matter on Steemit.
Yes, there were moments when I felt discouraged, and these two stood out the most:
Lack of votes on contest posts
Sometimes I would participate in up to five contests, putting in my time, energy, and effort, yet none of them would receive votes. It was very painful and discouraging, especially when I felt I had done my best. However, I was able to overcome this with the help of my amazing Steemit mentor, @bossj23. He encouraged me not to give up and advised me to carefully check my posts. I later realized that my post arrangement was poor, the communities I posted in were sometimes wrong, and my tags didn’t always follow the contest rules. Correcting these mistakes changed everything for me, and I’m happy I didn’t quit.Discouraging reviews from some users
Secondly, some people left discouraging reviews on my posts, and this really hurt me. However, I also overcame this with the help of my mentor, who gave me useful ideas, encouragement, and advice on how to publish better posts. He has been a very good person to me, both on Steemit and in private.
- I learned how to write content properly. Before Steemit, my writing lacked structure, but now I understand how to organize my ideas clearly.
- Although I’m naturally an introverted person, Steemit has helped me become more confident and expressive through contests that require sharing personal experiences.
- I learned how to draw better, thanks to creative challenges that pushed me to practice more.
- I learned patience and consistency, especially when results don’t come immediately.
- I learned that self-improvement is continuous, and I still need to work on myself to grow more.
- I plan to be more consistent by publishing a post every day.
- I intend to power down half of my monthly earnings to support my personal needs.
- I will create a personal Twitter account dedicated to Steemit, where I will share all my Steemit posts to reach a wider audience.
Yes, I do. I plan to grow my Steem Power by powering up regularly, participating actively in quality contests, and engaging more with other users’ posts.
In conclusion, my 2025 journey on Steemit has been meaningful and educational. I'm thankful for the growth, the support, and the knowledge. By God’s grace, I look forward to doing better next year. May Almighty Allah spare my life and that of my loved ones till then, Insha’Allah.
I invite @bossj23, @okere-blessing and @dprof.

Your plans for next year are fantastic. People's review on your post is probably to help you become a good steemit writer. I am glad to know that you are doing well now. Cheers.
Thanks
