SC-S28/W1-Movie Highlights | First-Time Feels (Sleeping Dogs)

This was a movie that was completely polished, and they used graphics and some color gradients so wonderfully that it turned into a fantastic detective movie. As we all know, detective movies are often made so beautifully that they include some dark shooting scenes.

The “Sleeping Dogs” mentioned here is used just as a name. Based on this name, the real character, the hero, is presented. He was a detective and had been working on a murder case for a long time. He always tried to deliver justice.

However, when he retired and one day met the actual accused regarding the completion of the case, the accused said that he had not been able to get justice. He had been imprisoned in a false case, and although he never committed the murder, even as a detective, the hero couldn’t reveal the truth, and the man was unjustly kept in prison.

Hearing this, he was completely shocked because he was such a good detective who always tried to deliver justice and always caught the real killer or real culprits. Now, hearing this, he reopened his closed case files and realized that he had truly made a mistake and put an innocent person in jail.

When he looked at the files and restarted his detective life accordingly, he saw that his former colleagues, with whom he had worked, had betrayed him. After talking to them, he realized that he had made such a decision due to betrayal and deception because he always pursued justice, but now, because of betrayal from some of his own people, he couldn’t deliver justice.

So here, he rises like a “Sleeping Dog” and starts working again very well. Finally, using all the experiences and skills from his detective life, he succeeds in his work. He proves the innocent person’s innocence and catches the real killer.

• 3. Would you watch more movies by this director? Why or why not?

Assassin’s Creed on Netflix

I express my interest in watching more movies by this director, and I have tried to watch them. However, due to lack of time, I haven’t been able to watch fully. I watched a little, which was absolutely fantastic. Still, the way he has created this movie so wonderfully impressed me a lot.

The way he beautifully created this movie impressed me greatly. At the same time, he highlighted everything in the movie so wonderfully. Also, he showcased some truly beautiful elements in the movie very well.

In this movie as well, some absolutely fantastic elements are seen, and the main theme of the movie is portrayed very well. He did everything with precision, beautifully handling camera positions, lighting, and everything, which greatly enhanced the movie.

• 4. What message or theme did you take away from the movie?

The main message or theme I got from this movie is that being a detective alone does not guarantee justice. One must also consider the story behind becoming a detective and whether all the detective work was completed justly.

At first, he felt proud of his own work, believing that all the detective work he had done regarding murders and various injustices was done perfectly, and he thought he had caught the real culprits. But in the end, he realized that he had caused an innocent person to be convicted.

So again, the sleeping soul, meaning the “Sleeping Dogs,” is acknowledged very well by him, and he thought that he must reconsider this. So even after retirement, he continued his detective work and completed it very well.

In short, we can say that he always prioritized justice, and even after retirement, he maintained that priority. This shows how passionate and loving he was toward his work, which allowed him to complete the work and deliver justice—a reality we often see in real life.
