Gotten From WhatsApp

Meetups are usually organised for people to get to meet their virtual friends physically. It is a fun time when people with the same interests meet one another and have fun together. In short, a meet-up is a get-together. A moment of love, fun, excitement and fellowship.

What are meetups relative to steemit and have you ever attended a steemit group meetup?

When it comes to steemit, meetup is a time when steemians meet their friends, the people they have been interacting with on the steemit platform physically. It is a time when they meet to discuss the interest and wellbeing of the people and the platform.

During meetups, our friends who have been on the platform share their failure/success stories, how they overcome to be successful on the platform. That is to encourage new/upcoming steemians like myself. From there, we get to learn and acquire a deeper understanding of the platform.

I remember when I attended Steemit meetup. I learnt that for one to be successful on Steemit, you must;

  1. Make quality posts and

  2. Be consistent

  3. Engage on other people's posts

With that, I made up my mind to stay put, because I almost got discouraged due to the fact that the level of support I received was poor. But through that meetup, I learnt that discouragement and inconsistency will take me nowhere. Since then, I have been up and going, engaging and making quality posts. Except for the time I was down in health.

Picture of myself at the meetup

And yes, I attended a Steemit meetup last December that was organised by @ngoenyi and other steemians in my city, Uyo. It was one of its kind, as it wasn't just about eating, drinking and dancing, I also learnt a lot, from the testimony you can read above.

What are your views about the upcoming national meetup in Nigeria? Do you think it's necessary?

It's necessary because it is an opportunity for me to meet and greet my bosses for the good jobs they are doing to support upcoming steemians like myself. Not just that, it will be another moment for me to learn from the successful steemians again, especially how they managed to stay relevant to obtain/achieving dolphins.

It is also necessary as it is a privilege for me to expand my sphere of friendship to other parts of Nigeria. I'll meet friends who have always given me their support and also make some connections that will be of great importance tomorrow.

Group of Steemians at the meetup

Mention 5 Steemians you would love to meet during the Nigerian national meetup and why you crave to see these Steemians?

I was privileged to meet some great steemians last year during the Uyo Steemians meetup, the likes of @bossj23 @goodybest @mesola and many others. This time, I'll be so excited to meet @xkool24 @ruthjoe @ninapenda @sahmie @lhorgic.

These are steemians whom I have not met but have inspired me so much. Like I mentioned, I want to meet and appreciate them for the good works they are doing and for their support. Nevertheless, I want to also hear them speak about their growth and successes, their inspiration and some of their negative experience here on Steemit.

There are many others I'd love to meet, my friends, like @missyleo @tripple-e @ogechukwu-martha @patudoh @beevicsam and lots of others.

If you get to see steemcurator01 during the meetup, what do you think your reaction would be?

Nothing, no reaction towards them so that I won't offend them. Except when I'm allowed to speak to them, that's when I will ask them why I haven't got a single piece of support from them for all my one-year plus stay on this platform. I will also enquire to know my sins or what has been lacking in my posts that make them walk past me to others because I believe they know my account, they would've come across @eveetim somewhere. By then, I would have heard what he/she has to say.

MY joy knows no bounds, I'm getting really ready for the meetup. My branded t-shirt is ready, my shoes have been cleaned, and my hair will be made before Saturday. It's a big event for me. I don't know about you, catch you there. Smiles!
