The Birth of another Genesis

Our existence on earth comes with numerous events, some of which leave a lasting memory that one would treasure for life. Many of these events have their individual genesis or a mark date. I have just enjoyed one of the privileges many people on earth are looking up to and I'd like to share a beautiful genesis with you. I'm Married!

A few months ago (about 3) I took the bold step to pick a date for my wedding. It's really a bold step, considering the economic crisis across the world, especially at a time like this in Nigeria. When the date was picked, it all looked like we still have some time to prepare 🤔, how time flies! The date came.

The event was proposed to happen on the 18th and 19th of August 2023. Lo and behold, the days came and marked a genesis I will treasure for life. The two days have three special programs, a court wedding, the holy matrimony at a Christian worship center, and the traditional wedding.

I got married to an intimate friend, a friend of many years and she's a Steemian. Someone I have been friends with for sufficient 5 years, an amazingly intelligent and brilliant woman, full of wisdom and modesty. I identified these features in her when we first started as friends, years ago.

I mentioned my wife is a Steemian, are you still curious? Don't be! My wife's username on Steemit is @temitopef. I have been with her as a friend long ago before I joined Steemit, she eventually joined the platform through me. We get along so well because of her inquisitive nature, brilliance, and above all, her pure upbringing. I can't deny the fact that she is highly intelligent, someone that wants to attempt every challenge, no wonder she ended up at the top of the class in college.

Our wedding event happened at Ede, Osun State, South-western part of Nigeria. The first day of my wedding event was scheduled to start with a program at the registry, to be joined by the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And it went quite well.

The latter part of the day was followed by other numerous events, notably the bridal shower where the ladies had a great time together. I wasn't allowed to be a part of that anyway, lol.

Unfortunately, I didn't observe a bachelor's eve due to a few reasons.

The second day of our wedding encompasses the holy matrimony at Open Gate Baptist Church, Ede and the traditional wedding at the bride's house. The event began at church at 8 am on the 19th of August 2023 and lasted for about 2hrs.

I will be sharing some of our beautiful pictures before we left for the church program.

These pictures are just incomplete, lol, waiting on the media guy to get me some from the church session and the traditional wedding pictures. I guess I'm gonna create a new article for three sessions later.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our wedding day was an amazing one and the love we received was so immense, more than what we were expecting. To the Steemit family, especially the United Africa members on WhatsApp, we appreciate the shout-out, thanks to everyone who genuinely celebrated us.

We are sorry for everyone that was not invited, it was proposed to be a very small event even though it eventually widened, lol. We will surely make it up in the future. To the ones that graced our event, people who traveled from far and near, our sincere appreciation goes to you. To everyone who celebrated us before, on, and after the main event, God bless you.
