Idea that I believe could improve lives (locally or globally): Promotion of Universal Access to Quality Education
Education is very important not just for the sake of becoming an employee, but for having a good environment, a developed community where understanding is shared. It would be nice to achieve universal access to quality education through the integration of digital learning platforms in this modern era so everyone can be educated.
Why is this idea important now?
In this modern world of civilisation education remains a powerful tool for reducing poverty, fostering innovation, promoting equality, experiencing development, and living peacefully with one another.
The importance of digital education was seen during the period of COVID 19 which makes us see the gap in the traditional education system and why we should adapt the use of digital learning platforms.
It is also important because everyone would have access to quality education remotely which can bridge the gap for those in underserved areas and prepare people for future opportunities.
Who do you feel needs to hear this idea the most?
This ideas is mostly needs to be heard by policymakers, community leaders, parents, and educators most especially those who reside in a region where access to education is difficult. Also, technology companies and Non-governmental organisation that are working to expand digital infrastructure need to hear this idea the most.
What is the first small step someone could take to begin?
Donation of materials or acting as a volunteer with organisations that provide digital learning resources is the first small step someone could take to begin. Also encouraging schools to incorporate free online educational tools in school is also a small starting point to begin with.
