Aranmanai 4 is a 2024 released Tamil-language comedy-horror film directed by Sundar C. This is the fourth part of the already produced and released Aranmanai series films.The film's story was written by Sundar C along with Venkat Raghavan and S. P. Ramadoss. Produced by Khushbu Sundar's Avini Cinemax and A. C. S. Arun Kumar's Benz Media, the film stars Sundar in the lead role, Tamannaah Bhatia, Raasi Khanna, Ramachandra Raju, Santosh Pratap, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh and Delhi Ganesh in pivotal roles.

Why don’t you usually watch this genre?

I avoid watching such ghost movies because there are many reasons for that, one of which is superstition. Such movies foster superstition and impose it on people. Second, there is a lot of violence in such movies. Similarly, since such movies are usually given an A certificate, there are a lot of obscene scenes in them, so it is not a suitable movie to watch with the family. In my opinion, movies should always give good things to the society, impose good ideas, and regulate the society.

Did this movie change your mind or confirm your feelings?

This movie did not change my mind because all the scenes shown in it are unbelievable and it is obvious that it has been created using the latest technology and graphics, so instead of being scary, it makes me laugh. If similar movies had come out 20 years ago, they would have definitely scared us, but when we see all this in the modern era, we have to avoid thinking that it was created through AI.

What surprised you most about the film?

Actress Tamannaah surprised me in this, she is amazing in her emotional role as a loving mother and a scary ghost. Among the supporting actors, only Ramachandra Raju's character is written heavily. There is no flaw in his performance either. Santosh Pratap has given an okay contribution to the role of 'heroine's husband', who does not have much work.

Although Gururaj's art direction is noteworthy for the way it brings a 'horrifying' palace to mind, the forests and caves, which are clearly seen as settings, could have been created with more effort. More effort could have been put into the unsightly 'graphics' scenes. At the same time, the huge statue sets, temple sets, and fight scenes filmed within the climax are awe-inspiring.

Would you try more movies from this genre in the future and why?

I look forward to more films like this in the future, but it should be a family-friendly film, with less obscenity and balance, but also comedy, and if it's a suspenseful film, it will appeal to children and be suitable for watching with the family.
