Take your favorite local street food and give it an international mix. Tell us the name of the street food and why? Show steps. Be detailed enough!

There are many famous street foods in Bangladesh. Some of the famous dinner dishes of Bangladesh are Fuchka, Chatpati, Jhalmuri, Haleem, Noodles, Minced Vegetables, Egg Sandwich, Singara, Samocha, Mughlai etc. The most popular of these is Fuchka. Fuchka is considered to be the most popular street food in Bangladesh. This food is very popular in various alleys of the city. It is one of my favorite street food items. If I were to give an international mix of it, I would name it "Thai Style Fuchka".

This is a popular dish and it is a very tasty street food. This dish has gained a lot of popularity among street food. Many items are added to this dish, so its taste is very different. The recipe is made with a combination of sour and spicy. That is why it tastes so good. I have made this street food recipe myself, which is given below in a few steps.

  • Step-3 :- Then I put the chopped ingredients inside the fuchka. Be careful not to fill it completely because you need to leave space for more ingredients inside. I filled each fuchka with the ingredients. Then I added the roasted dabli.

  • Step-5 :- Since this fuchka is complete, I want to add an international twist to it. For this, I have collected a tamarind pickle and tomato sauce. I plan to make two mixers of this.

  • Step-6 :- Usually when street food in Bangladesh makes phuchka, tomato sauce is not used. They only use sour water. That's why I have given an international mixture here which is called Thai Fuchka. I wrote down the details on paper and presented them according to the contest rules.

Which country or culture inspired your combination? Give a clear explanation about your inspiration.

I have made a recipe which is a very popular dish in our country. But since the question has been asked here, I will say that the culture of Thailand inspired my combination. Suddenly this plan came to my mind so I made the Bangladeshi recipe with an international mixture. From your inspiration, it started from there when I saw that recipe from Thailand. That is why I was able to do so much according to my efforts.

1000049577.jpg

What new flavor, or presentation did you create?

Yes of course, in this recipe I have beautifully mentioned that Fuchka is a popular dish in our country. When this Fuchka is presented, it is usually served with a thin sour sauce. But I have made it differently.

I have added coriander leaves, carrots and tomato sauce to it. I think this combination has taken my dish to the international level. When I put all the ingredients together, it had a wonderful aroma. I took a close-up picture of it while I was presenting it and took a picture of it in my hand which looks tempting.

How do you think people would react if this food was sold on the street? Explain!

Actually this question is very interesting. I never claim to be a shopkeeper haha. But I consider myself a small chef because I sometimes make recipes. If this food was sold on the street, then of course I would set a specific price for it. Also, I would give it a special name Thai Style Fuchka.

When this food was sold on the street, everyone would be surprised because they had never tried such a recipe before. They would think how Thai food is prepared in Bangladesh? A desire would arise in them to know. That is why they would always wait to eat this Thai Style Fuchka recipe.

So this is how I made a popular street food in Bangladesh called Phuchka at home. After making it, I gave it an international twist by adding coriander leaves, carrots and extra tomato sauce. My younger brother helped me make this recipe. We both tried this recipe and enjoyed it.

So I am Inviting my lovely Steemian friends @suboohi, @heriadi,@wilmer1988, @selina1, @memamun, @sushanta83, @jimiaera02, @solaymann to Participate in this Competition.
