Assalamu Alaikum friends. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful Steemit challenge competition organized by @ninapenda. The Topic of this challenge is SLC-S28/W6-"Local Taste, Global Twist!"| My Signature Challenge!. So let's get started.

In this competition, I have been asked to create a signature recipe where I have used only vegetables. Vegetables are a healthy recipe for the body, so eating vegetables is very important to keep our body fit. I have made this Bharta with different types of vegetables, which I have named International.

You can try this recipe with breakfast, lunch or dinner. But remember, this recipe can only be tried by those who are foodies. I always try to stay away from fatty foods, so I present healthy food to everyone. Today I have created a Bharta signature recipe and I will mention all the steps along with the ingredients to make it, which is given below.

  • Step-01 :- First, I chopped the cabbage, onion leaves, and green chilies into pieces. Then I placed them on a plate.

  • Step-02 :- Then I boiled the tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots in hot water. I left it in the oven until it was completely cooked.

  • Step-03 :- Then I boiled the beans and tomatoes, washed all the vegetables, and placed them on a plate.

  • Step-04 :- Now I mashed the potatoes, tomatoes, and carrots with my hands. They need to be crushed so that they can be mixed with each other.

  • Step-05 :- Now I collected a magic spice, then chopped the coriander leaves into pieces. Along with this, I took a tomato sauce to mix in it.

  • Step-06 :- Now I mixed all the ingredients in a plate. Be careful not to let it dry out. That's why I added mustard oil here.

  • Step-07 :- Now I heated a little soybean oil in a pan on the stove and fried the stuffing for a while. Then I placed it on a plate.

  • Step-08 :- Now this recipe is completely ready. I wrote all the details of the competition on a piece of paper. Then I boiled quail eggs and arranged them on the recipe. Then I placed the details in front of the food and took the final pictures from different angles.

Step-09 :- It tasted so good that I shared this recipe with my younger brother and family. They made cabbage parathas to make this recipe interesting. I ate the parathas and this recipe in hand.

What’s the name and story behind your signature dish?

I always try to create new recipes but I try to make those recipes healthy. Today I have created a signature recipe with my own intelligence and named it Classic Veg Harmony. It is made entirely with vegetables and it is known as European fine dining as a food for outsiders.

To make this recipe, I first combined all the known vegetables. To cook it in a healthy way, I boiled 80%. Then all the ingredients were combined and a perfect combination was created. That is why this is a perfect healthy vegetable recipe.

How does it reflect both your local roots and global imagination?

The recipe I have made is something that my family and I have all enjoyed. So Classic Veg Harmony I have made reflects both my local roots and my global imagination. Here I have made a healthy version of this by boiling mixed vegetables. Basically in Bangladesh this type of dish is called Bharta.

Potato is the main ingredient, in this I have mixed it with tomatoes and other vegetables including carrots to make Bharta. All the people of Bangladesh like this type of Bharta in winter. Since I have used mostly healthy items here, it is beneficial for the health of all the people. This recipe can be tried with various items like rice, khichuri, pulao etc. I tried it with cabbage paratha. It can also be said to be a traditional dish of our area.

What makes it stand out from every other dish you’ve made?

I have made other recipes before so I needed to use many items to make those pictures. But when I used my intelligence and made this healthy bharta which had only mixed winter vegetables. So I thought I will make a kind of bharta with these vegetables and then I will add foreign versions in it.

When I slowly made the recipe with all the ingredients it was a perfect combination. After trying it for the first time, my younger brother and I were surprised because it was very tasty. When I boiled carrots and peas in the alusiddha, its taste immediately changed. It looked different from other dishes and it was special because of this amazing taste.

If you could serve it to anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

If I could serve this to anyone in the world, I would serve it to a friend of mine who lives abroad. Because he was my childhood best friend. Although I still talk to him, he can cook in foreign countries. He used to cook different recipes and show me sometimes, so I also want to share this recipe with him. I want to serve this recipe in front of him.

The reason for serving this is that he likes to keep himself fit and stays away from oily food which is also my habit. So as a perfect healthy combination stuffed dish, I want to prepare this recipe myself and feed it to him. The recipe will be very good for his body and he will like it very much, so I want to serve it in front of him. He considers me his dear friend, so he will easily like any recipe I prepare.
