Traditional/send forth prayers of my in-law

Beautiful Bride

Marriage is a beautiful thing,, no wonder the Bible says " He who finds a wife finds a good thing and has obtain favor from the Lord. Today,, I will be giving report about the traditional marriage and send forth prayers of my in-law.

Today being the 12th day of December 2024,, is the scheduled date for my in-law traditional marriage and send forth prayers. Everyone has been eargerly waiting for this beautiful day to come because, the date was fixed since few months ago when the grooms family came for introduction and collected her bride price list.

Both the groom and bride family has been around since yesterday busy going up and down all in preparation for todays traditional marriage and send forth prayers. The groom is an Igbo man so he doesn't have much knowledge of how things are being done in my culture, even though they gave him little orientation.

Normally,, the traditional food is usually prepared by the grooms family, but because my in-law husband to be is an Igbo man and has just little knowledge of my tradition, He pleaded with the pride Father elder brother to be the middle man instead of bringing an outsider.The groom provided all that was required of him and the traditional food was cooked prepared and ready around 12:00pm.

The Bride Price

The Bride and her friends came to the house where the traditional food was prepared to check and confirm if everything was in order and complete. When they came,, the bride snapped few pictures alone and some with her friends.

After the bride confirms that everything was complete,,, they carried the Bride back to her father's compound and the Bride Price and the groom followed. When they arrived at her father's compound,, the danced with the traditional food for almost an hour before it was finally collected. After the collection, the people who came for the traditional marriage danced and danced.

Around 3:00pm,,, the bride and her friends went back home, and got ready for the send forth prayers. Around few minutes pass 3:00pm, the bride and her friends were out for the send forth prayers.

The send forth started with an entrance dance of the bride and her friends, followed by an opening prayer by the bride Reverend Incharge. After that,, all the high tables were honoured by the master of the ceremony,, before the send forth started probably.

Around 5:40pm, all the order of program were observed and it was just the cake presentation by the cake designer, cutting of the cake by the bride and her parents and feeding of her parents that was left. After all the out listed programs,, the chairman gave his closing speech, followed by appreciation and vote of thanks by the bride.

The send forth prayers started well and ended well to the glory of God. I was super happy for the bride because people really turned out for her both in the traditional marriage and send forth prayers and she received a lot of gift as well.
