SEC-S30W3: The things I am thankful for.

Gratefulness is an attitude and if don't have that attitude, you may never see reasons to be thankful!

2026 started with so much enthusiasm and great expectations and from the many things that has happened so far, I am grateful for these 3 things.

• The Gift of friendship

Am grateful for the Gift of friendship, my friends encouraged and supported me when I needed someone to help me up in moments of weakness.

Beautiful friends of mine

Having good friends is a great gift! One thing I have leant to do over the years is to stick with my friends. I may not have so many friends but it will amaze you to know that the ones I have, have been my friends for years.

I think God loves me so much that he gave me the best of friends! I don't know how I would be able to navigate a very trying time in my life this year without my friends coming through for me.

I always go all out for my friends why because I believe they would do the same for me. Indeed there are friends that stick closer than a brother. I have leant so much from my friends

There are times you just want to talk and express how you feel but you don't think anyone will understand you the way your friends would so you just have to fall back to them. My friends has helped me this year, holding my hands through the times when I felt I was going to loose it. They prayed for me, encouraged me and supported me.

Therefore I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to my dear friends for staying through with me and for me. Its not easy I see what you do for me.

Am grateful for Dearest Sister

The second thing am grateful for is the Gift of a sister. Am grateful to my sister for saving my life and giving me hope.

By blood I have just one sister. She is far older than me. She is my parents second child. My sister is happily married with beautiful children.

Am grateful for my sister because she came through for me this year while I got sick in the hospital around January this year. She supported my medical bills without blinking an eye. She showed up for me when I really needed that help.

At that point I did not know what to do and then she called asking if I was alright and I just told her I was in the hospital and I was required to pay certain amount of money for some treatment and test. Without questions she asked for my account details and forwarded the money to me.

That kind gesture never left my mind. I will never forget what she did. She literally saved my life and gave me hope. She kept reaching out to me each day until that season was over!

I express my gratitude to my lovely sister for coming through for me seriously. Am grateful for all your help and support. Thank you.

• I am Grateful that I didn't Die

The third thing am grateful for is that I didn't die earlier this year. This should have been the first thing I would have said but I intentional kept it for last.

Towards the end of January, on that faithful night I was curating posts as a community Curator for the month of January. It was 12am by my time and I suddenly started feeling a strange sharp pain in my right hand side of my tummy.

I felt it was nothing and decided to sleep a little o I can continue later. By 2am the pain woke me up again but this time it was very intense. I didn't know what to do. I did all the home remedies for pain yet it didn't stop. I was in pain till 6am. I was just rolling on the bed, praying and crying at the same time. That was when I decided to go to the hospital.

To cut the story short, I couldn't even stand to walk out of the house, it was terrible. That was when I called my sister. It felt like everything was going to end that day but look at me today am still alive.

To the giver of of life which is God Almighty. I say thank you for this far! Thank you for not allowing me die. Thank you for protecting me always.

Gratefulness is to be our lifestyle, it shows that we value what was given to us or done for us and on this note I would invite my friends to join this contest @sahmie @lhorgic @sojib1996
