| SLC-S29/W4-“Thinking and Ideas!| Rethinking the Normal!”

Assalamu Alaikum Dear Moderator and my sincere greetings and love to all dear members. Hope you all are well and healthy by God's grace. Alhamdulillah, I am also fine with your prayers.
Today I am among you Steem4Nigeria community organized SLC-S29/W4 – “Thinking and Ideas! | Rethinking the Normal!” To participate in the challenge. This challenges certain ideas that have long been accepted as “normal” in our society.Encourages rethinking of beliefs and behaviors.

There are certain things in our society that we accept without question. One of them is "If you are a good person, everyone will love you, everyone will understand you, everyone will be there for you." This idea has become so natural that no one wants to think of it as wrong or incomplete. But real life experience teaches us something different. Not everyone will love us. That's the reality. Some will love it, some will hate it. Some will praise, some will condemn. Some will hold on to their own thinking, while others will push away neglecting the need. Accepting this fact may be the first step to peace of mind. In this article I want to question such a concept of "Normal", which we carry in our hearts without realizing it.And because of which we break up again and again.

Name one practice, belief, or system that people accept as normal but should be questioned.

One such belief, which is taken for granted in our society, is If you are a good person, everyone will love you, understand you, and always be there for you. This belief is inculcated in our hearts from childhood. If we do good, if we sacrifice, if we think of everyone, people will definitely value us. So we accept it as a natural truth without questioning it. But as real-life experience shows, this assumption is not always true. Many times it is seen that a person is neglected even with his honesty, love and devotion. Some ignore its good sides, some are jealous, some use it when necessary and move away. Yet society teaches us, “Be good, everything will be fine.” This idea is a normal belief that needs to be rethought and questioned.

Being a good person is undoubtedly a virtue, but getting love from everyone in return is mandatory. This expectation is not realistic. So it is important to question this belief. So that people can prepare themselves mentally by understanding the reality and do not have to bear the burden of unnecessary suffering.

Why do you think people rarely challenge it?

This belief is rarely questioned by people, as it has been silently nurtured in society for a long time. From childhood, the family, education system and people around us make us think that receiving love in return for good behavior is the norm. As a result, there is no opportunity to think about the matter separately.Another major reason is the need for accreditation. People want him to be accepted, to be good in everyone's eyes. Within this desire, he learns to adapt himself, afraid to ask questions. If this belief is challenged, then conflict with society may arise. This fear also forces many to remain silent.

Also, people often think of it as their own failure even when hurt in real life experiences. They don't want to admit the core belief is wrong because of the self-blame, "Maybe I wasn't good enough." As a result, suffering is accepted as normal and moves forward, but does not raise questions.Above all, people want to keep hope alive. everyone will loveThis thought is a mental refuge for many. The fear of being alone works to break that shelter. So many find comfort in accepting this belief without questioning the reality.

What could improve if this “normal” way changed?

If the normal assumption that "a good person will be loved" is changed, then the first change that will occur in people is the power to understand reality. People will then no longer have unreasonable expectations from everyone, so that even small negligence will not become a deep injury. These changes can lead to improvements in mental health. A lot of suffering, depression and self-loathing is born thinking that "I was good, yet I was neglected." When man realizes that being good and being loved are not the same thing, he will be freed from self-blame.

Another important improvement could be transparency of relationships. Then people will build relationships based on real feelings, not just out of a sense of duty or social pressure. Be by someone's side out of desire, not out of obligation. The biggest improvement will be in self-esteem. People will determine their worth in their own eyes, not on the recognition of others. People are stronger in it,Can become conscious and emotionally balanced.

What might be lost if it disappeared completely?

If the idea that people love if they are good is completely lost, some important human feelings may also gradually fade away. The first thing to lose is faith in love. If people assume from the start that there is no value in being good, many may develop an aversion to human relationships. It also risks diminishing empathy and compassion. Good behavior is important not only for oneself, but also for others. If this sense is weakened, then people in society can become more self-centered. Then "why should I be good?" This question can have a negative impact.

Another disadvantage may be lack of moral motivation. Many people live in hope of receiving love and respect. When that hope is completely gone, some people may give up trying to get better. So rather than erasing this belief altogether, it is important to moderate and consciously understand it in the light of reality. It is man's duty to be good,But expecting love from everyone in return. Understanding this difference is the real balance.

Hi @samsunnaharsuity, welcome to thinking and ideas week 4

My Observations:

My dear, if you are good, everyone will keep coming close and liking you. But wait until what they are gaining from you finishes let's see how many of them still loves you.

See people are leech, they suck only from where they could get profit. For them, nothing goes for nothing and that is life. They tag you a bad person the moment you stop being good. Try it and see.
