‎Hello my fellow steemians welcome to my blog. Happy Valentine's day. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm here to drop my contribution to this wonderful contest. I also want to use this medium to thank @sahmie for organizing this contest. Let's get to hear my opinion and contribution to this contest.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done for love? Was it worth it?

‎The craziest thing I have ever done for love is going for a field trip for a girl who never loved me.

‎When I was in tertiary institution I found this girl to be very attractive and beautiful. I got closed to her just so I can be her best friend. However, I was naive and foolish. She didn't love me.

‎The trip was an examination on its own. She was an opportunist. This girl used her beauty, charm and charisma to pin me down to herself.

‎She used me to achieve so many goals in school. I even did assignments and wrote test and examination for her just to prove my love for her.

‎All the stuff I did for her were very risky but I still did it. I was young and desperate that's why I couldn't see clearly.

What does "love" mean to you?

‎The word love is ambiguous. It could be different things to different people. However, generally
‎It is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person.

‎In my case I will select the word "Care" and add my own word which is "Value"

‎When we have intense feelings for someone we naturally care and value that person.

‎So in my words I will say Love is the value and care we have for each other. Love is putting in the work together to achieve a strong bond a companionship.

With everything going on, do you still believe in love? Why?

‎Even though some folks makes wacky caricature about love and makes it look untrue I still believe in love.

‎I have literally seen the care, support, and encouragement I have gotten from people who says the love me.

‎The support and encouragement has really pushed me to become a very valuable person in the society at large.

‎True love exist and will continue to prevail despite all the misunderstanding by damaged people.

Is it possible to love someone without doing anything "big" or "special" for them?

Years ago I read a book titled "MEN ARE FROM MARS WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS" by John Gray.

‎This book gave me the insight of what love wants us to do. After reading that book I came to the realization that when you do things out of love it's neither big nor small. However, it is special.

‎Every little thing you do for love counts. Wether big or small. As long as you did it out of pure intentions. It is special to your partner or companion.

‎I recommend the book to anyone who wants to know the difference between a woman and a man.
‎It will definitely enlighten you for beyond your imagination.

What's the difference between doing something for love and doing something out of obligation?

‎Doing something out of love is beautiful. It feels natural because you aren't forced, compelled, coaxed, or cajoled. You do it cheerfully.

‎Meanwhile doing things out of obligation feels like the society is giving you directives. Perhaps making decisions for you by making up laws to enforce it accordingly.

‎One thing about doing things out of obligation is that we end feeling ladened afterwards.

‎True love can't be found doing things out of obligation.

‎Since this is a contest I want my friends to also be enlightened of it. So I want to use this opportunity to invite them.

Your writing is very true heartfelt and instructive.
First of all it is commendable that you have openly admitted your past mistakes. Emotions often blind a person in youth. But the real success is that a person learns from those experiences. The way you described that you did a lot in the name of love but did not get true love in return. This is an important lesson.
Your definition of love as "value and thought" is very beautiful. Truly true love includes sincerity respect and mutual cooperation.
May Allah bless you with a love that is true sincere and appreciates you.
