The thoughts of planning for an event or a program can take it’s toil on anyone weather it’s a wedding, a birthday party or just organizing a health program can be so challenging.
For the past 4weeks my yoga sister Selma and I planned a weekend practice, where we would teach yoga and chill after practice. We made efforts to locate a good park with space and nice scenery. We also put everything in place for advertisement and other things we thought people will need after practice.
After planning and planning, the day of the program finally came. I had a ton of work to do, plus deadlines I had to meet but I put everything aside to host this practice we’ve been working ourselves out for.
My partner and yoga sister Selma got to the park before me because like I said I was so engaged and she had more time on her side.
She arrived two hours before the scheduled session and so we all thought it was too early for people to come out at that time. She waited and waited afterwards She started setting up hoping that people would still show up.

I got to her at this time, when she was almost done with the set up and still no one came.
We weren’t even sure what we were going to do, so Selma suggested we started practicing on our own.
We left the original space we initially wanted to use to the field,We warmed for a few minutes and started to practice which I really needed as I was stressed out.
After which we took these lovely pictures, and the water was just reflecting the light around us. Which just reminded us the importance of not waiting for anyone before we can have fun and enjoy the moment.
Am glad, we spent time together and seeing this picture is a good reminder that no matter the things we face we can still reflect beautiful things and that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. We left the park happy and looking forward to doing what we love doing again!
