Easy peasy Sri Lankan Gotu Kola Sambol

Here's my second recipe in @steemfoods and all are welcome back. Today I gonna share a Gotu kola Sambol recipe with you all. Gotu kola sambol is a nutritious salad popular in Sri Lanka. It adds a color and variety to plate. Gotu kola is an herb in the parsley family and commonly known as pennywort. I grow gotu kola in our home garden and today I plucked bunch of gotu kola to make a sambol. Let's make a gotu kola sambol.
Ingredients
1 Bunch of Gotu kola
6 Small shallots
1 Medium green chilli
2 tbsp Maldive fish
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tbsp Lime juice
1/2 Cup coconut
How makes it
- First wash the gotukola and chop finely, set aside in a bowl.
- Then chop the peeled and washed shallots, then put them into the gotu kola bowl.
- Next add finely chopped green chili and Maldive fish.
- Using a coconut scraper, scrape out the coconut flesh into a bowl.
- Then add a couple of handfuls of scraped coconut to the bowl and mix well.
- After that add a little salt and taste to add more salt as desired.
- Finally add lime juice and mix again.
Serve this fresh and nutritious salad to enjoy!😋😋😋
