The diary game. Finding Warmth in Faith, Family, and Work on a Winter Day 28-01-2026
Greetings, friends, how are you. I hope you all must be doing great. It’s my first diary post in this community, and I hope I’ll be able to express myself well and would be able to draw your attention towards this post.
Because I have a habit of rising early, I hardly hesitate to get out of the comfort of my bed very early in the morning. Today again, I got up, purified myself by performing ablution, and then started my day by offering the morning prayers, which is an obligation for all Muslims and one of the basic principles we need to follow. After praying in congregation, I returned home only after making supplications. It was then time to go back to bed again to stay warm, relax a bit, and evade any health threat due to the cold temperature.
Once breakfast was ready, I got up, had my meal, and then got ready for office. Going to the office on such cold days is quite difficult, but still, I can’t help it. Fortunately for me, I got a job at a very young age, and I must be grateful for that and not take this dip in temperature as a hindrance to my duty. These days, my office is a little distant because I am on special duty for the digitisation of revenue records of our district. For that reason, I need to travel to the district headquarters, which are quite far from my place.
After reaching there, I got straight into my work, which is what I usually do. These days, I am verifying the records that the lower officials are digitising and sending to my login. This data needs to be verified, and I do it very meticulously, because any entry that is to be registered must be checked at this stage. Later in the afternoon, I was done with my work and had my lunch meanwhile. Just after that, I headed back towards my place.
On the way, I passed through a town where I had to buy some important items, including bakery goods. I usually buy these edibles as part of the preparations for a function that we are going to hold in a few days, where we will be inviting some guests. Upon reaching home, I enjoyed some warmth from the electric heater, sitting right beside my grandmother, who has been with us for the past few days. We are truly enjoying her presence because she has always been our go-to person in every situation. She has been so compassionate and loving that even her mere presence makes every moment special. She is kind, gentle, and a beautiful soul, and we all love her deeply.
After taking some rest, I got an opportunity to go outside in the evening and enjoy the snow. I walked around the village and witnessed beautiful scenes all around. The snow that accumulated a few days ago has turned into a real wonder for all of us, especially because it happened at the last phase of winter, and now there may not be any snowfall until next year. For that reason, enjoying this snow feels even more important.
Later, I returned home with the milk that I needed to fetch from my uncle’s house. After that, I had to do some office work again, as one of my subordinates conveyed a message that required me to log in to the portal and complete some pending tasks. Around 9 PM, it was time for dinner. After finishing my meal, I spent some time on social media until bedtime. During this time, I was able to interact with some friends whom I may not meet physically, but with whom I have shared long conversations over social media for quite some time now.
