We have stayed home today just being together and opening gifts. It’s been a nice relaxing day with no stress and no deadlines. Kind of nice for a change. 😎
Each year, I participate in the #silvergoldstackers community Secret Santa exchange. @welshstacker has tirelessly coordinated this exchange between folks for the past several years. Thank you for the effort you put towards this!
I received my Secret Santa gift in early December. It went immediately under the tree awaiting Christmas Day. I opened it today to discover a multitude of various chocolate goodies inside along with an envelope!

To go along with all that chocolate and the lovely card was…….Silver!
The first one is a 1 oz.Mexican Onza Libertad.
The obverse shows:
The Winged Victory (El Ángel de la Independencia) statue.
Volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl in the background.
This design is iconic and unique to Libertads.
The year is 2021. The mint mark is Mexico City. Around the top edge are the words 1 Onza; Plata Pura; 2021 Ley .999
The reverse:
The Mexican coat of arms (eagle devouring a serpent)
Surrounded by 10 historic versions of the coat of arms.
There were around 450,000 minted for this year.
The next coin is a 1961 silver proof quarter.
Simply beautiful with its mirror finish!
