Tuesday Sunshine! 🌞……….Cascade Wanderings

It’s Tuesday and it was bright and sunny! There was a bit of a breeze which made it cooler plus the temperatures had dipped back to a high in the upper 50’s rather than the temperate 70’s of the last couple of days. Funny how you get used to that so quickly!

Today would normally have been ladies Bible study, but our leader was going to be out of town. She’s been crafting the lesson in a classroom type curriculum, so having someone else lead it would have been difficult since she knows where she’s headed with the study. This left me able to get almost eight hours and twenty minutes of sleep! Nice! 😊

Both @silvertop and myself went outside to enjoy our coffees in the sunshine. Then we headed to Builder’s Alliance to pick up some more tongue and groove pine for the laundry room. When that was finished, we put the garden swing back out and got ready to plant the 5 Aspen trees I purchased last month.

@silvertop is a “particular type” of tree planter, therefore he prepared the planting area.

Aspen trees are rhizomes, however these 5 trees were not connected. We did however plant them in ‘clump’ formation. They may or may not join root systems. I had purchased some flowers the other day, so we took some of those to add to the display. Those bare looking sticks are the Aspen trees.

While we were out, I took some closeups of the decaying cedar stump on the backside of the planting.

The wild bleeding hearts are beginning to bloom.

I also found one lone tiny ‘shroom in the middle of the area we were traversing back and forth in.

The Big Leaf Maple Trees are diligently working on this year’s crop.

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow is my ‘Monday’ work day and I’m sure it will be a busy one! 🤪

BSB Luke 24:36-49

While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.
“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.
While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish, and He took it and ate it in front of them.
Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.
And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
