Yearning For A Bit Of Spring! 🌸……......... NW Cascade Wanderings
Saturdays are always nice for its the weekend and I don’t have to go to work! I’d set an alarm for 7:20 this morning to allow a little sleep in, and when it went off, I had a moment of panic as I thought I was late getting up for work! 🙀 That didn’t last long when through the fog of my sleep brain, I realized that it was Saturday! Ahhhh-relief-so much so, I promptly turned over and went back to sleep! 🛌
I got up about an hour and a half later and made coffee after my shower.
@silvertop wanted to go to the Do-It Center to get some lumber to trim out a window, so after we both got some things done, we set out.
After we got the lumber, we stopped at Starbucks for a coffee. He tried the protein latte, which turned out not to be bad plus it had an added 35g of protein! Nice! Since they don’t offer that with coconut milk, I opted for their Truffle, Mushroom & Brie Egg Bites. With 200 calories and 14 grams of protein, a tasty choice for me. 😎
I needed some produce, so we headed over to Safeway. They always have such lovely plants and flowers, but you’d best have deep pockets if you wish to purchase. Or, you can take pictures like I did to enjoy a little spring ahead of time. After all, this is the time of year folks get to planning gardens anyway. Enjoy the flowers!

Once home, groceries unloaded, I hopped on the stationary bike while @silvertop set out in the rain ☔️ to hike a bit.
Tomorrow sees us headed to church. Afterwards, I’m taking on a potentially massive repotting of a huge philodendron plant I brought home from work. It’s a bit unruly and rather than just cutting it back, I’ll take the cuttings and start new plants with them. Presuming my hanging planters arrive as they are supposed to. 🪴
