"ARE YOU CHECKING OUT?"😇 .........................NORTHWEST ADVENTURES! 😀
Are You Checking Out?🙄
How do they say it……….
“Time is of the Essence!”😇
Daylight is slipping through Silvertop’s fingers this time of year Lol!😮
Today Silvertop needed to get the latest price per foot of 1x6 tongue and groove Spruce, and Liz needed to run to town for some last minute Thanksgiving shopping!🥰
I asked GROK “AI” what time Sunset was today?
“Silvertop, you have a total of 8 hours and 45 minutes of daylight today, you and Liz better hurry if you guys are driving to town!”🙄
After finishing my everyday chores this morning, it was pushing close to Noon!😮
“Liz Sunset is at 4:20 PM and “last light” today is 4:54, we better run!”😅
“Liz….. check this out, Home Depot now has a Digital Wallet called HD Pass, I wonder if they take Bitcoin Lol?”😇
Hmmm…………….☺️
With the Winter Solstice just around the corner on December 21, Silvertop is gathering materials for indoor home remodeling!
I am installing 1x6 tongue and groove Spruce in the Mrs laundry room!😊
One more room to renovate before I start working on recessed lighting cans in Liz’s kitchen!😍
You can see the “Cabin look” we are creating in a couple of today’s photos!☺️
I believe I paid somewhere around 59 cents a foot for the tongue and groove you see in the photos, today it runs $1.03 per linear foot!
“Silvertop, not as costly as I was expecting!”🥰
I recently read that 50% of home prices are down, and lumber is always cheaper during the Winter!
It’s a good time to stockpile tongue and groove Spruce!😇
“Liz maybe it’s also a good time to stockpile a few more Sat’s for our Granddaughter Olivia’s future as well!🥰
I can only hope that someday baby Olivia will walk up to her dad and say…………..
“Dad, I’m so glad Grandpa stacked Sat’s like a “Degen”!🥰
“Liz ….. is it dark outside ALREADY?”
Till tomorrow….. Silvertop Mike!😊

@silvertop, your posts are always a breath of fresh mountain air! I love how you weave together everyday life – from lumber prices to sunset times – with a glimpse into your cozy cabin renovation project and the overarching wisdom of stacking sats. The "cabin look" is coming together beautifully.
The blend of practical home improvement, prepping for winter, and future-oriented thinking (stockpiling sats for Olivia!) makes for a compelling read. It's a reminder that even small, daily actions can build a better future.
I wonder, have you considered using any reclaimed wood in your renovations? It could add an extra layer of rustic charm! Thanks for sharing your journey; it's posts like these that make Steemit special. Looking forward to seeing the laundry room transformation!
