Silvertop is fortunate enough to be able to “Escape” by just walking out my front door!😇

“Well Hello little girl, you are safe here, eat all the Apples that you and your Mom want!”😊
This baby was born this Spring……….
Almost all of her “Spots” that she was born with, are gone!
I surprised Mom and her baby walking out my front door today!😮
They have been steadily “Cleaning up” hundreds of Apples that covered my yard!😇
It’s a dangerous world for Deer, with Cougars hunting in the nearby mountains! I am happy they stopped by for an Apple or two, and to pay us a visit!😊
Silvertop’s home is well off the beaten path, but apparently not far enough away from the busy Mountain Pass road……………
Early this Spring, Mom brought two babies to Silvertop’s five acres of grass and forest…….
“Chat GPT how far will deer normally travel in the Pacific Northwest looking for food?”

“Silvertop……One square mile is a good rough rule of thumb for everyday roaming in good PNW habitat, though individual deer can range farther.”

We are probably 1/8 of a mile, from the mountain pass!
Late in June our next door neighbor spotted the second baby, it had been hit and killed by a car!😮
“Silvertop Mom and Baby need to stay in our yard and forest!”🥰
“That they do Liz!”😊
Fortunately, or unfortunately, they are Free and Wild!😇
“Mom….. you take care of your baby, and remember this is always your home, you come back anytime!”😍
