Hi, thank you, yes I often I used to participate in contest but now it's mandatory to belong to the clubs and I don't reach the requirements.
Hi @jhellenmjgr, for most communities club membership has become compulsory, it's true.
It's a choice to invite users to be not only bloggers but also investors to allow the platform to function properly.
But in our community the contests are open to all Steemit users regardless of club membership, the important thing is that they don't spam, don't plagiarise, use original content and their own or copyright free images and must not be in the Power Down process.
