Oh, unfortunately I think the time when Germany was the country of cars, of engineering technology in general, is over... In the meantime, I see innovation everywhere else in the world, but not on our doorstep... ;-((
Oh, ich denke leider, die Zeit, als Deutschland das Land der Autos, der Ingenieurtechnik überhaupt war, ist vorbei... Mittlerweile sehe ich Innovation überall sonst auf dieser Welt, nur nicht vor der Haustür... ;-((
I partially agree with you but I consider my car as a German product. I had an Audi prior to that and that was German too. I will go for a Japanese or Koran car if I need a cheaper model with low maintenance.
But I agree, we make almost every car in our country for last few decades in collaboration with the original manufacturers.
