The soft light of the late afternoon sun has painted the streets of Tangail city in golden color. There are rows of shops on both sides of the road, and the constant movement of busy vehicles going back and forth. Looking towards the heart of the city, there is a long line of small autorickshaws. Every autorickshaw is waiting for its passengers to reach their destination. Some of the drivers are engrossed in stories, some are leaning back with tired bodies. A network of electric cables is spread across the sky above. The shadows of the busy people seem to have merged into the streets before the evening light. In such a situation I clicked this picture.

The cloudy sky seemed to cover this narrow road near Tangail town in a soft, gray blanket. Seeing the appearance of the sky makes me happy. A large banyan tree stands tall on the roadside. A small grocery store under a banyan tree. A few people are sitting on the wooden bench in front of the shop. Someone is blowing cigarette smoke, someone is holding a cup of tea. The shopkeeper is thinking of selling something. Next to it, various products like biscuits, chanachurs and colorful lozenges are kept in a few glass jars. The shadow under the banyan tree is a little darker because of the cloudy sky.

In this picture you can see a narrow road, which is surrounded by huge paddy fields on both sides. The rice plants on both sides of the road are standing tall as if waiting for someone. A cool breeze is blowing, the leaves of the paddy trees are swaying. Rafts of light white clouds in the sky, play of sun and clouds is like a wonderful picture painted by nature's own hand. Before twilight the atmosphere became more enchanting. The sun is slowly setting, and its light falls on the rice, turning the green into gold. May this scene never end. So I captured such a scene.

A wide highway. There are guardrails on both sides of the road which are made of shiny metal. Along the railings are occasional red-and-white painted signboards. They are like sentinels to guide pedestrians and motorists. Rows of electric poles on both sides of the highway. The wires spreading out from them are like webs drawn towards the sky. The wires swaying gently in the wind glinting faintly in the daylight. A small nest of birds on top of an electric pole. The chirping of the birds enlivens the whole environment. There is not so much traffic on the empty highway. In this situation I captured the picture.

I was standing on the roof of a multi-storied building in Tangail city enjoying the last light of the afternoon. A different kind of beauty is spread around. The sun is slowly sinking in the horizon, the sky is a mix of pink, orange and gold like nature's own painting. I stand on the roof railing and look around. Some familiar scenes are caught on the roofs of nearby buildings. A few children are standing and playing with umbrellas on a roof. They looked at the sky as if calling for rain. On another roof someone is tending to their plants, humming and singing as they water the tub. At this time the sun was setting. The last light of the sun was falling on me. In such a situation I clicked this picture.

In this picture you can see the afternoon scene. It was late afternoon. A narrow highway covered by surrounding vegetation. Electric poles stand on both sides of the road, the wires hanging from them seem like an infinite line under the sky. On top of the poles there are occasional chicks and crows, as if they are enjoying this peaceful view of the world. A green-yellow auto rickshaw is moving slowly on the road. The hum of the auto's tiny engine breaks the silence of the highway, yet sounds like a strange melody in the atmosphere. This little highway is not just a path, it tells a simple story of life. Autos running under electric wires, tree branches swaying in the wind and the small activities of people all add up to a wonderful picture of a day.

I was walking along the village road, once I saw a calm environment surrounded by greenery. Under the cloudy sky, nature seems to make its colors brighter. Cool breeze is blowing around and birds are calling from far away. In the midst of this peace, a palm tree stands tall as a guardian of the entire environment. The leaves of the palm tree are swaying in the light breeze. Various plants are spread around the trunk of the tree. There is no sign of sunshine in the cloudy sky, but the light is just as soft. Sometimes a thin line of sunlight comes through the clouds and falls on the palm trees. This simple, green environment of nature makes you forget everything and brings peace to your mind. I captured such a scene from a distance.

A ceramic brick kiln came into view while heading towards the city. Light smoke rises from the kiln's chimney under a cloudy sky and blends into the sky. On one side of the sky is a heavy stack of clouds, on the other side the light sun has brought a golden glow to the gray environment. Stacks of reddish-brown bricks are lined up in front of the furnace. Some of the bricks are old with fire marks on them as a witness of time. On the other hand some more raw bricks with clay color are lined up next to them which are still waiting to be burnt. In one corner of the kiln, a worker checks the bricks by hand to make sure they are all right. This picture of a brickyard under a cloudy sky is like a reflection of the hard working life of many. So I captured this scene.

The green paddy field in the soft afternoon light is like a perfect picture of nature. The unripe rice plants are carefully planted in the ground, and as the last rays of the sun fall on them, it seems as if each plant is wrapped in gold. A few big trees are standing on the other side of the paddy field. Their shadows are long on the green field. Cloudy sky above the trees. In some places white clouds are floating, and in some places the sky has taken on a little orange color. A small building can be seen in the distance. Although it has a touch of modern construction, it seems to have lost itself in this village environment. The afternoon light cast a golden glow over the building. So I captured the picture in such a situation.

The scene of Tangail city in afternoon light is quite familiar. Rows of buildings stand next to each other as silent witnesses to the city. Each building has a different color and design but they have a strange similarity. Rows of trees planted in tubs can be seen on the roofs of the buildings. Tulsi, rose and money plant bushes are growing in tubs on some roofs and vegetable seedlings are growing on some roofs. The leaves of the trees are swaying in the light breeze as if they have found their peace in this city noise. Rows of electric poles stand in front of the buildings. The intricate network of wires is a reflection of city life. The electrical grid, roof plants, and city buildings create a strange combination so I captured the scene.
