Well, what shall I say? Exactly—the title speaks for itself, and there’s really no need for many words. We have an uninvited guest who’s really throwing our daily lives into disarray—and especially the plans we had for the weekend. We were so much looking forward to it, and now everything’s been turned upside down again.
And on top of that, there’s no telling how this whole thing will play out or who will end up getting involved. So far, it’s just our youngest, but that’s most likely to spread. Chickenpox is highly contagious, so we’ll probably be dealing with this for a while.
It’s such a bummer, especially since we had such great plans that we were so excited about. But once again, everything’s gone down the drain—unfortunately, this isn’t the first time. For now, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that it won’t be too bad and, above all, that the little ones get through it unscathed. We grown-ups too, of course, and to be honest, I am a bit worried about that. It would be nice if those worries turned out to be unfounded and we could relax again a few weeks.
There isn’t much we can do right now; we just have to deal with it. That's why I'm signing off for today. Stay healthy, everyone, and take care of yourselves—things can sometimes happen faster than you think...

Tja, was soll man da eigentlich sagen? Genau, der Titel sagt es alles und es bedarf eigentlich gar keiner Worte mehr. Wir haben einen ungebetenen Besucher, der unseren Alltag gerade ordentlich durcheinander wirbelt und vor allem auch unsere Pläne, die wir für das Wochenende hatten. Wir hatten uns doch so gefreut, und nun kommt mal wieder alles ganz anders.
Und vor allem ist auch noch gar nicht abzussehen, wie sich die ganze Sache entwickelt und wer am Ende alles involviert ist. Bisher ist es nur bei der Kleinsten, aber das wird sich wohl noch entwickeln und um sich greifen. Windpocken sind nun einmal hochansteckend, so dass wir wohl noch eine Weile damit beschäftigt sein werden.
Sehr schade, wo wir doch so tolle Pläne hatten, worauf wir uns so gefreut haben. Aber mal wieder fällt alles ins Wasser, dass ist ja leider nicht das erste Mal. Im Augenblick bleibt uns nur Daumendrücken, dass es nicht ganz so schlimm wird und vor allem die Kleinen da unbeschadet durchkommen. Wir Großen natürlich auch, und um ehrlich zu sein, mache ich mir da doch einige Sorgen. Wäre schön, wenn diese am Ende unberechtigt waren und wir in ein paar Wochen durchatmen und aufatmen können.
Im Augenblick ist da nicht viel zu machen, da müssen wir jetzt durch. Von daher war es das auch für heute. Bleibt alle schön gesund und passt auf euch auf, es geht manchmal schneller als man denken kann...
