Newcomers Curators Team “Team New Inspiration”: Curation Report / Week #5 - May 2026

Design created with AI and edited in Canva.
Hey there, Steemit community and folks!
The curation team for newcomers—“Team New Inspiration”—is speaking here. We’re dropping by to give you an update and show you what we reeled in during our fifth week out on the trail—specifically from May 29th to May 31st, 2026. So, sit back and get comfortable!
During this journey from May 29 to May 31, 2026, we really buckled down and cast our votes on 93 posts using the @booming01 account. We kept up the pace by supporting between 33 and 28 articles per day, always seeking that spark of quality and inspiration that captivates the reader.
As we had previously explained in our Guidelines Post, where we made it clear to newcomers exactly what criteria we use to evaluate content and give it a boost, each of the five team members was active on their assigned day to ensure that no one was left out.

Countries Statistics
We set out to scour the globe searching for high-quality publications, unearthing content from every imaginable corner—carefully avoiding any articles created or rewritten by AI—while simultaneously providing the necessary recommendations and offering the fullest possible guidance to newcomers. Currently, an influential wave of new creators hailing from Nigeria is making a splash on Steemit, and they have undoubtedly made their presence felt this week: they claimed the lion's share of the votes, with 87 members selected, alongside 3 users who did not specify their country. Elsewhere on the map, activity was recorded from 3 members in Bangladesh, 1 in the United States, 1 in Pakistan, and 1 in Indonesia. There is world-class talent here!
Communities Statistics
We diversified on a grand scale this week, venturing into 13 communities and publishing 4 articles on personal blogs. Which ones made the biggest splash? #Steem4Nigeria topped the list with 12 articles to its credit, alongside the #Hot-news-community and #Hindawhale-community. They were followed by #Steem-for-pakistan and #Recreative-steem with 10; #Steem-cameroon with 9; the #steem-kids-parents community, which contributed 6; #steem-for-lifestyle and #steem-for-betterlife with 5 articles each; the #Newcomers-community with 4; #ladies.universe with 3; and finally—tying for last place—#Healthy-steem and #africansonsteem with 1 post each. Support reached every corner!
Best Picks of the Weeks
Alright, now it’s our turn to promote those posts that—in our judgment—deserve more attention for the content they convey: content that is human and reflective, where creators share glimpses of their daily lives and their culture.
So, keep reading to stay for the rest of the party with these final three touches:

The author in this contest post explicitly stated her mind in agreement that experience is a good teacher to her, as with the popular saying that experience is the best teacher. She went ahead to reiterate that a balance between learning by experience and learning from others is that experience makes you build good judgment and real understanding, while learning from others helps us avoid their mistakes. It’s her last month as a newcomer. Great way to wish her farewell. Great post.

The author talks about those everyday moments we’ve all been through: going grocery shopping on an empty stomach, lugging around heavy bags, getting that last-minute call about stuff you forgot to buy, and rushing back home absolutely starving, so hungry you even get a headache. Plus, the writing feels incredibly real. She shares a piece of her food culture without any filters or AI-generated fluff, which is something you rarely see on this platform nowadays.

Here the user went to a playground and was amazed to see the children playing there. Here the small children were playing games with different gestures, which was wonderful to see, and the timing and conditions were all superb, and he enjoyed the moment of watching the game very much. It was good.
Best Regards,
