Reality is more harsh (cruel) than anyone can imagine. Empathy is an illusion, but dreams are what keep us alive. It's good to hear you still have dreams.
I guess at a certain point enough should be enough. Steemit can also offer something to others in need who do have, like you mentioned, a lot to offer.
