Wow, poor bird! what it must go through laying its eggs! Each species has its own special characteristics. I didn't know of a bird that fainted when laying its eggs.
When my birds lay their eggs they make a kind of scream. They do it in a very high pitch that is unmistakable because they never do it unless they are laying their eggs.
I think it's because their eggs are big for that small bird, the quail.
