(Pavo cristatus), also known as the Indian peacock or blue-breasted peacock, one of the two species in the genus Pavo, which since ancient times has stood out among the animals admired by humans because of the extraordinary polychrome fan that constitutes the tail of the males.
This is part of the research I did on this bird, but the most striking thing is when when it opens its wings , in fact, it is the male that does it during courtship. The one in the photography is a male.

Hello, you're absolutely right, one of the most striking things about turkeys is when they spread their tails, it's simply beautiful.
It's an excellent way to attract our attention as humans, although perhaps the female is already used to seeing these wonderful moments.
Best regards.

These animals are very beautiful
With us we do not admire the male peacock at all. He stands more for a big ego tripper, a kind of narcissist who can't stand anyone looks better than him.
We say:
Pauw, pauw ik ben lekker mooier dan jou
(the result is that he shows his feathers to prove he looks better.)

But he only does it during courtship to attract females, and I think he achieves his goal. How can anyone resist something as beautiful as that plumage. Even we humans admire something like that.
I have seen these birds. Both the female and the male. I have even seen a specimen that is completely white. When they open their wings and shake them, it is quite a spectacle to see.

Exactly, these animals attract females .
Males fan out their wings fan-shaped, especially during courtship, to attract the attention of females.
