RE: No Defence
I doubt anyone with us would buy frozen food. Frozen food is expensive, and you need a deepfryzer which is also not cheap. Most likely they will eat: bread, bread, pasta, potatochips and tea biscuits (all cheap in a way). So no vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and so on, since that's all way too expensive, although I must say there are also many who keep smoking and drinking alcohol and for that amount of money one can also buy healthy food.
Canned food is with us way cheaper escpecially if you buy beans, and a plus is it's all cooked and you can eat it straight out of the can. Besides beans, they say it's healthy, helps fight cancer,, although you might fart 24/7, which means you feel uncomfortable with a swollen belly...
Why do people interfere? Because it's not the government's money but the money tax payers pay and they like to have a saying (not that they have otherwise, most likely they would not pay taxes and not spend it on paying the sky rocketing wages of the government and give to all those aid funds). No way ministers would spend that much of their own income.
Just wait a bit and you will see as soon as the digital coin is a fact, there's no cash and every citizen has a digital wallet the state will tell you on what to spend it. No frozen food, no meat, no fisch, no candies, no pudding, no chocolate, no cookies, no restaurants, no, no and no....
You are right. Frozen food for frying is expensive.
I usually stick to frozen strawberries and spinach for my smoothies; it's much cheaper than buying fresh. I also rely on frozen meals for those days when I’m too unwell to cook anything.
Now I know why I’ve been so gassy in the evenings. I’ve been having mixed grain and bean porridge for dinner!
I keep both dried and canned versions on hand; the canned ones are so convenient when I need to bulk up a dish quickly.
It the general public condemns individuals for how they spend aid money. It’s not like we’re out here buying 'nonsense' or luxuries, those things aren't even allowed on the approved list. I used my last bit of aid just to buy basics like sanitary pads and shampoo
