The Diary Game #37: 27/04/2024// Attending my nephew traditional marriage

It was a wonderful and a blessing day has my nephew say no to singlehood, this nephew is the first son to my late sister, my late sister had only 2 kids a boy and a girl and ever said their mother died we joined hands together by taking care of the kids my sister left behind and the glory of God he got married traditionally yesterday.

My morning activities was not too much because my kids are around to help out in some of the house chores, what I did was for me to supervise if they did it properly.

I woke up the morning with excitement because I know what the day was made off, I gather my kids and we offer thanks giving prayers to the Almighty God, the one that makes us to see the bright morning star, the one that keeps us alive till this moment, I took my time and we pray because God has been so faithful to us.

When I was done with the prayers I brushed my teeth and did my morning healthy routine which is warm water, when I was done drinking, I needed to do one or two things on the steemit platform, so I started commenting and I drop a post before I get ready for the occasion, the exact time for the traditional marriage was 12noon and from uyo city to the bride's family where the occasion will be held will take me like 1.30munites.

When I checked my time it was already 11am so horribly took my bath, then I took time to do my makeup, you guys know that I am jack of all trade, so I do myself a perfect makeup that was suitable for the occasion, when I was done I dressed up, the dress code was red and gold, so I quickly put my red dress and my gold gele, then I put on my gold shoes and my gold wallet.
I hope you all remember my gold shoes and wallet that I rebrand some month ago, that was the shoes I put on.

You can all see how I sample my brand, the way people were just looking at my legs was something else, they keep telling me you are beautiful and your shoes is so beautiful, and I was happy that people were loving my brand, they may be thinking that I bought the shoes very costly not knowing I use just a little amount to get this done.

So I left the house by 12noon, then I went to the park to board a taxi that will take me there since I didn't go to the village to join my people, so I went to the park and thank God there was vehicles that was almost filled, I enter and seat very comfortable.

Before 2pm I was already at the venue and my siblings were there already, my seat was preserved at the high table, so I quickly join them and we took some photograph.

In the picture above the one in the middle is my elder brother, who stands in as the father of my family, then the one in red is my immediate elder brother and I am the last child of my family.

By the time I was seated, the bride and the groom was not in the venue, so I sat down with my family members and we start discussing, I was so happy to see my family.

By 4pm the marriage kick start and the brides family match in with the brides mother, in our side that is how is been done, the brides mother must match in because is not easy to carry a child in the worm for 9 months, then give birth to her, train her to the point of getting married to a man.

When they finish matching in, a microphone was handed over to them to say hello to their visitors, then it was time for the groom to be match in.

A song was raise and the groom match in with his entourage, it was so beautiful, he matches in and he was lead to go round greet everyone of the family members both from the groom and the bride sides. He was so happy, so he started the greetings from his father's table then to our table then to the bride's family.

When he was done greetings, in matches in to his seat, then the MC called him out again to perform some assignments to see if he is active, it was so fun in this part, he was asked to bend front and back, side to side.

When he was done performing the assignment, it was time for the bride to match in, the bride was so beautiful, she was dressed with a combination of gold and red, she even resemble my family, she carries our face

When she matches in, she did the same thing by going round to greet all the families members, after the greetings they were all match out to cut the wedding cake.

Their cake was so beautiful and eye catching. You can take a look and see how the cake looks like.

When they were done cutting their wedding cake, it was time for handing over, the brides family and the groom families were called out, the bride and the groom was called out as well, the in a traditional way, the elder of the bride's family hand over the brides to our family in marriage.

After the handing over, the pastor sealed the marriage with advice and a prayers for the couples, it was a wonderful experience and a memory that I can never forget in a hurry.

After that I took some photograph with the couple.
