Choices! What will it be? #48
Assalam o Alaikum everyone! I hope you will be well and good by the grace of Almighty Allah who is the most merciful and gracious to everyone.
Today I am here to participate in a contest organized by @patjewell about the choices. I have chosen "Aroma" as my choice. If you haven't joined it yet and you wanted to join it then join and share your thoughts here about your favourite choice.
An aroma is a term which is used for pleasant fragrance. Some alternative words for the aroma are scent, odor, and smell which are used in our daily life. An aroma makes our environment pleasant and lovely. Everything has its own unique aroma. And many things are identified because of their aroma. Aromas have the ability to stimulate our olfactory senses. And these senses affect our emotions and memories.
Aromas are linked with our memories. Many times it happen when we whiff a familiar aroma our past is recalled. It has happened many times with me when I feel the aroma of my favourite perfume it refresh my memories linked with it when I used it first time. It was gifted to me by my girlfriend. I enjoy it's fragrance and the memories. So aromas can make us able to recall our old memories associated with the specific fragrance.
Aromas can be found all around us. It can be found in the flowers as well as in the kitchens. Flowers are commonly used because of their beauty and unique aroma such as rose and jasmine flowers. Similarly every dish which is baked in the kitchen has its own unique and appetising aroma which is commonly known as odour.
Aromas are used in everything. There are natural aromas as well as artificial aromas. Every product has aroma. One of the most popular uses of the aromas is in the form of the oils. Plants have their own aroma and these are known because of their unique aroma. This aroma is used in the aromatherapy. I would love to quote an example of aroma in the form of lavender. It is known for its calming effects. It used to promote sleep and mind relaxation. Similarly citrus aromas uplift our moods and boost our energy levels such as the aroma of lemon and orange.
As I have already mentioned that the aromas play an important role in the kitchen. The smell of freshly baked dishes and the smell of the steak turns us on the appetizing and craving mode and our mouth waters. The chefs use special herbs and spices to add special and unique aroma to their dishes.
Moreover the aromas have many positive impacts in our lives. Many people find comfort in the fragrant aroma of their loved ones. When they smell their favourite person they feel comfier and relaxation. It is because of the specific aroma of the favourite person. It is a common thing that the unique aroma of our partner also sooths us and comforts us. It comes in the way of aromatherapy. So the aromatherapy provides us relaxation, reduces anxiety and it improves our mood.
Moreover aromas play an important role in our homes and other places. These are used to make our environment fresh and enjoyable. We use air fresheners for the purpose to refresh our surroundings. And each air freshener has it's unique fragrance and aroma which distinguish them from each other. I have a general store shop where we keep air fresheners for sale. I have showed some of them. People come and choose the air freshener depending upon the aroma which comforts them.
Similarly aromas play a significant role in the personal care items. We use lotions in our daily life. Every body lotion has its own aroma which makes it distinctive than other brands. We usually sell ponds lotion, vaseline lotion, care honey lotion, olivia lotion and others. Every brands has its aroma. And people come and take fragrance of all but choose one whose aroma delights them. Yesterday a customer came and he bought vaseline lotion from me. But after sometime he came back to return vaseline lotion and he bought golden pearl lotion. When I asked about the returning issue he claimed that he did not like the aroma of vaseline lotion. So aroma matters a lot.
The game of aromas does not end here. The aromas have their importance in the scents, perfumes, body sprays and fragrance powders. Why does everyone not use the same type of fragrance? So the answer is the difference of their likings of aroma. People choose perfumes, scents, and fragrance powders depending upon their favourite aroma.
A customer came to me to buy scent I showed him different available scents in the shop. But he demanded for the scent named Rasha claiming that I like the aroma of Rasha. Actually aromas make us more unique than others. Our favourite aroma boosts our confidence level and makes us look more attractive and handsome. Last week I met with my girlfriend and I had applied a unique and wonderful body spray with lovely aroma. She praised my body spray fragrance and said always use it. So it is how aromas play role in our lives.
Conclusion
Aromas have a remarkable ability to influence our emotions. They can enhance our confidence. Everything has its own unique fragrance. Aromas can be found everywhere from the freshly baked bread to the culinary items. Aromas can play role to comfort us and to make us feel relaxation and soothing. But always keep in mind that the choice of aroma varies person to person. It is not a hard and fast rule that the aroma which is favourite of one person will surely be liked by others.

It is true what you say, aroma can play a big role in our emotions.
I was listening to a talk show on the radio the other day. They gave the contestants something sour to eat. After they ate it, they gave them ice to suck on and immediately something sweet. On asking what they experienced, most of them said that they could smell the aroma of melting chocolate, and it made them feel happy.
