Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

Welcome to the weekend, and welcome Saturday. Saturday is always my favorite day of the week because Saturday means Caturday... time to share cat photos!

We are having a beautiful spring day for the first time in a long time, and it is sunny and actually quite warm. The Dad-Hooman has even opened the sliding glass door next to his workspace, and we're getting fresh air in the house!

Whereas I am very much an indoor cat, I am sitting by the open door sniffing the air. I wouldn't want to be outside by myself though, because there are lots of eagles, coyotes, bears and other animals that would love to make a snack of a pampered housecat in no time at all! No Thanks!

This weekend, the Son-Hooman is visiting us for a couple of days because it was his birthday this past week and this is our first chance to spend some time together. Well, he's not here for me, but you know...

I like it when our visitors are familiar to me, so I don't have to go and hide while they're here. The Son-Hooman may not be much of a cat person, and he tends to keep to himself with his games while he is here. But he is quiet and we don't bother each other!

My very fuzzy roommate Smudge is also enjoying her Caturday — she has her own favorite sunny spots in which to take naps!

We think she is almost done with shedding her extremely thick winter coat, and we feel pretty sure that her ancient ancestors must have been some kind of mountain cat!

Meanwhile, it's a little bit sad to see the Cryptosphere take yet another tumble. Seems like our own Steem token got particularly hard hit this time. But I guess that is just the nature of this strange new frontier we're part of... you never know what's going to happen next, nor why.

I am just planning to keep plugging away at my cat blog, and I have come to recognize that I am actually more interested in doing that, than neccessarily in crypto, itself.

Which is not to say that it isn't nice to be building this little "savings account" here, but most of the fun for me comes from the cat pictures and sharing them with the rest of the world!

Actually, that reminds me that it has been a while since I last "did the rounds" here on Steemit to see if there are any more of our community members who are posting about their pets.

With so many people in the world being pet owners, it would only seem like a natural thing to include your animal companions in your blogs, even if your blog is not dedicated to only writing about pets or your particular pets.

So if you are a cat lover — or have feline friends in your life — why not take a few pictures of them and create a blog post about them for next week's Caturday? Just remember to use the #caturday and #cats tags!
