Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

So glad we have made it to the weekend, and to Caturday, my favorite day of the week! It's our special day to celebrate cats!

What is Caturday good for, if not finding a Hooman lap? The Dad-Hooman has been working a lot at his computer lately, and it is definitely my job to supervise his efforts and make sure he's doing everything right!

Earlier in the week we had a little too much excitement around here! It got very cold last Friday and then stayed much below our normal for several days. Good things I have nice warm beds!

Anyway, when it finally got a little warmer, water started flooding into the lower level of our house!

I have never seen the Hoomans get quite so active and frantic! Boxes had to be moved, and then buckets placed to catch where the water was coming in... from a burst water pipe!

The Dad-Hooman had to shut off the water at the street to the whole house! And that was easier said than done because everything out there was frozen!

He did eventually get the water turned off, but what a mess! And we had to live without running water for several days because every plumber in town was booked with emergency calls for similar situations!

Thankfully, everything has been fixed now and we have returned to our nice and much slower routine... with running water!

Kitten Talk!

The Hoomans have been talking about "getting me" a kitten, once again! After all, my fluffy housemate Smudge will soon have her 17th birthday and she gets increasingly docile and quiet every week.

I suppose it will be nice to have a younger more energetic cat in the house. I will have to teach it the value of naptime! Hopefully I will do a good job as "Uncle Shadow!"
