Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

I hope this day finds you well, and that you have all enjoyed your Caturday! Yes, today is Caturday, because Saturday means Caturday!

Looking out at the world. Yes, I DO need a new cat perch!

But today is not only Caturday, it is also the Lunar — or Chinese — New Year... we have now entered the Year of the Dragon. Among other things, the associated lore calls for good luck and good fortune in the year ahead.

I think we could all use a little bit of that after the last few years we've had!

Did you know? The Dragon is the only mythological creature in the Chinese Zodiac.

I may have my lair, but I'm no dragon!

Closer to home, the Hoomans continue to busily work on their indoor winter projects, and I do my best to help! How does a cat help? Well, nothing says "I care, and I am interested" like laying down in the middle of whatever a Hooman is trying to do: Projects, laundry, artwork, office work... it all matters!

Even though it is still winter, the days are definitely getting longer and brighter! That suits me very well, because it means there are more sunny spots in the house... and I will be able to enjoy them all the way until the trees by the house get their leaves and block the sun.

On a different note, it's certainly nice to see Bitcoin rising again... we've actually reached the highest point since the last big run-up in late 2021... I just hope this is something sustainable, and that the movement isn't going to be derailed by some piece of bad news.

Of course, it's my sincere hope that our own Steem token will also get "pulled up," as part of this rally! Wouldn't it be nice to see 50-cent Steem again?

Meanwhile, my very furry housemate continues to hang in there, although we continue to worry that she is not long for this world.

In a few days, she will be 19 years old... so she has definitely had a full life, as cats go. But she doesn't eat much anymore, and while she seems comfortable and still purrs a lot she seems to be slowing down a lot.

Well, I think the time has come for me to head off and see if I can find other animal/pet related posts in the community! It would be really nice if the pet community were a bit more prominent and active!
