Curator Cat: Happy 2024 and First Caturday of the New Year!
Greetings Fine Hoomans and Felines of Steemlandia!
Hope this Saturday finds you well, and ready to tackle the new year! I'm definitely ready, because today is Caturday, my favorite day of the week... so let's get the year off to a new round of cat photos!
Too much New Year's celebration...?
So, Where we Landed...
Seems reasonable that we take a "snapshot" of where we landed, at the end of 2023:
- 2,236.996 Steem Power
- 481 Posts published to date
- 4,970 comments left to date
- Reputation: 65.707
- 2,124 days on Steemit!

A Few Goal-ish Things!
Cats aren't necessarily big into setting goals. Except for things like "best nap of the year" and such. But we thought we should at least make a few loose things to shoot for!
I'd like to maybe add a little more than just a weekly Caturday post... in the early going, we often made 3-4 posts a week, although quite a few of them were related to "newbie challenges" and contests.

We hope to hit the following targets by the end of 2024:
- 3,000+ Steem Power
- 600 total posts (ambitious, but going to give it a try!)
- 6,000 total comments (also ambitious, but engagement matters!)
Perhaps the most important ambition is that last one of engaging more with content here on Steemit! Engagement creates a healthy community!
It's cold out there!
A Few Final Thoughts
Of course, we're all hoping that 2024 will be a good year for the Cryptosphere, in the greater sense. Sadly, one of the first things we had in the new year was one of those "flash crashes" but, oh well...
I'm deliberately not taking into account the potential upside of crypto in factoring our goals this year. That stuff will just have to stand alone!

Come March, we will have been part of the Steemit community for six years! And that's a pretty good longevity record for a cat blog... anywhere!
And, of course, we hope to keep going for a long long time!
