Curator Cat on Caturday — Midwinter has Come and Gone!

in Steem-Pet-Lovers3 months ago

Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

I hope you have had a good week, and are celebrating the fact that we have now arrived at the first Caturday in February! Caturday is definitely my favorite day of the week!

Yesterday marked "Imbolc," often considered the point of "midwinter" in some cultures. I'm just glad that the days are getting visibly longer!

The Dad-Hooman has been crawling around on the floor with his phone — and sometimes with his camera — trying to get more photos of me, but I'm doing my best to make myself hard to get. After all, we don't want it to be too easy for the Hooman! But I play along because my blog is a good cause.

Because it is still wintertime, the Hoomans are mostly working with their indoor crafts projects, which means there are lots of things for me to get in the middle of. I don't know why they get upset with me when I "borrow" some of the items they're working with and take them off for a closer examination!

We cats are seriously curious creatures. I remember our former cat Orange, he would always steal all the pens, pencils and chopsticks, and we're still sure that one day we're going to find the magical hiding place at the back of some closet where he took them all because there sure were a lot of them that went missing! I think he also took some of the Mom-Hooman's lighters to keep hidden there.

Sadly, Orange is long gone from our lives but the Hoomans are still talking about maybe adopting a new kitten sometime this spring. After all, a lot of kittens are put up for adoption in the spring.

We have always tried to support the local animal shelters by adopting cats from the shelter rather than getting pedigreed cats from a breeder somewhere. There are lots of street cats who are in need of good homes, and lots of kittens are brought in and need people to adopt them.

Nothing much of exciting news seem to be coming from the Cryptosphere at the moment, at least not something that makes it look like the markets are about to take off. But at least things didn't look like they were deteriorating too badly during this past week.

Helping the Dad-Hooman!

One piece of recent news that was slightly exciting was the fact that there is apparently a new partnership between credit and debit card issuer Visa, and the Transak crypto swap service, which — if I understand it correctly when enable people to cash out their crypto directly to a Visa branded debit or credit card. That'll make life a lot easier for many people.

All I know, is that the easier it becomes to use cryptocurrency in the real world, the better it will be for all of us. It also means there will be more opportunities for people to regard this strange frontier as a little more legitimate and mainstream.

ENOUGH with the pictures!

Well, I appreciate you stopping by to have a look at our cat pictures for the week, and I hope you are having a wonderful Caturday! I would also like to wish you a marvelous Sunday, and I hope to see you back here next week!
