Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

It's the last Saturday of 2023, so that also means that we have reached the last Caturday of 2023! Yes, it's Caturday again... that favorite day for sharing cat photos all around the web... an almost 20-year old Internet tradition!

Wintertime... Sort Of

We may be in the middle of winter here, but it has actually been remarkably warm this December, and also sunnier than we are used to, here in the US Pacific Northwest.

That's good news for cats, as we have lots of "sun puddles" around the house in which we can take lovely cozy naps!

Holidaze...

Our Christmas was quite "noisy" from a cat perspective, because we had a house full of houseguests for several days.

Even though it was the Hooman children visiting from Seattle, it was made a bit more chaotic by the fact that the Daughter-Hooman brought her two little dogs over, as well. They are not used to cats, so I ended up spending most of the time sequestered in the Dad-Hooman's office, where there are many "high spots" with cat beds.

I am glad they have now left, and I can have MY house to myself, again!

Cat Blogging Into 2024!

The Hoomans are rather busy with their "goal setting" for 2024, but I am not sure I want to take life that seriously! What sorts of goals would a cat have, anyway? Nap more?

That said, the Dad-Hooman and I decided that in 2024 we will attempt to get the Curator Cat blogging account here on Steemit to 3,000 Steem Power. I'm at 2,235SP right now, so it seems like an achievable goal!

Crypto Nonsense!

I guess any hopes we might have had of the Cryptosphere having a "Santa Claus Rally" have pretty much gone out the window.

Based on recent activity, I suppose we should just be grateful to end the year with $0.25 Steem. Wish it were more, but compared to the fact that Steem was at $0.145 at the end of 2022, I suppose we should be fairly happy.

Still a LONG way from what we have experienced in the past... but so it goes. You just never know with this gig!

Smudge...

My fuzzy housemate Smudge is happy and well!

She's getting very fluffy and is approaching basketball-like proportions, meaning that it won't be long before the Mom-Hooman will be after her with the electric trimmer.

Yes, our Smudge is "one of those" cats who has to get a haircut once or twice a year. The poor dear always looks a bit odd after her shave, but she's much happier to be without that enormous thick coat!
