And as the outermost part of the body, the skin can provide physical protection from ultraviolet rays and also dangerous chemicals that can cause damage. By having healthy skin, we can be sure that our body will be healthier.

Hydration or lack of fluids has a big impact on the skin, one of the things that is immediately visible if our body is hydrated is that our skin will lose its elasticity.

If our skin has lost its elasticity, the skin will no longer be able to function as an external part of the body that can maintain the body effectively.

What are the common skin care mistakes to avoid?


There are several common care mistakes that are accidentally made very often and can damage the skin, here are some of these mistakes which I have summarized well.

  • Not using sunscreen, this will be very dangerous, if we don't use sunscreen when doing outdoor activities and our skin is exposed to direct sunlight, our skin will be very easily damaged and can increase the risk of skin cancer.

  • Excessive exfoliation, this is also very dangerous, if our skin is exfoliated at a reasonable rate it is good for removing dead skin cells. However, if exfoliation is excessive and not treated immediately, this can damage the skin.

  • Using a cleanser that is too harsh can damage the skin. It's a good idea when we want to use a cleanser, we must first look at our skin type and the ingredients contained in the cleanser so that our skin is not damaged when using that type of cleanser.

How can diet affect skin health?


Diet is one of the things that plays an important role in making our skin healthier. If we like to eat foods that are high in glycemic, dairy products and fat, it will very easily damage our skin, especially if acne appears on the face.

However, if our diet is correct, such as frequently consuming vegetables, fruit and whole grains, it will be very good for healthy skin.

Here are some natural ways to maintain healthy skin in my opinion:

  • Drink more water, at least 2 liters a day, because apart from making your skin healthy, drinking enough water can also improve digestion.

  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight on the skin for a long time.

  • Avoid rubbing the skin for too long because it will irritate the skin.

These are some things that must be taken care of to make our skin healthy.
