Today, being a holiday, I woke up a bit late. After freshening up, I had breakfast. For breakfast, there was hotchpotch. After that, I spent some time on my phone. I felt like taking a walk in the morning, so I went out with my niece for a stroll. I also visited the house of one of my close younger brothers. My niece didn’t want to go into anyone’s arms there. His mother offered us some snacks. After staying for a while, we returned home.

At noon, I took a shower and went to the mosque for Jumu’ah prayer. A little while after returning from the mosque, I had lunch. Today’s lunch was quite delicious because it was rice with chicken curry. Alhamdulillah for such a tasty meal! After lunch, I spent some time on my phone and took a short rest

I was waiting on this road for the younger brother

In the afternoon, I met up with that younger brother again. He had already told me in the morning about going to the fair. He took his wife, his sister, and his sister’s friend along. When I joined them at the fair, I felt a bit uneasy. Anyway, in the evening, we returned home.

Teddy bears. It was very popular in the fair

In the evening, I rested for a short while and then went for a walk with my father toward the station. Before reaching the station, we stopped at a shop and had some delicious boiled eggs. I was a bit tired, so I sat on a bench at the platform while my father continued walking.

I took this picture on the way while returning home

After my father finished his walk, he went home, but I stayed at the station to meet an older brother I know. The main reason I went there, despite being tired, was to see him. It was important because tomorrow he is moving back to his hometown with his family. I’ve known him since childhood, so I was eager to meet him one last time before his departure.

Boiled eggs

When he arrived at the station, we sat together and chatted for a while. Then we went toward the market. After sharing some heartfelt words, we said our goodbyes, and I returned home. On the way back, I kept thinking about him.

A view of the railway platform

One by one, familiar faces in this town have been leaving, people I’ve known since childhood, people I grew up with. Some left because life demanded it, while others left accepting fate. Most of them were here because of their fathers’ jobs, and after retirement, they shifted back to their hometowns or to other cities. Honestly, it’s a painful feeling for me. It’s natural to feel this lonely now in this town.

My diary ends here. May everyone be healthy and safe by the grace of Allah. I will try to share my activities with you for the next day.
