"SLC27-W5 | A One-Day Street Journalist: The Struggle Of Street Hawkers."
Currently, no job is small and every profession is respected in its own profession. Every person is struggling to survive with the money earned through their work. Hawkers in Bangladesh have to struggle a lot, starting from the crisis of their principal to attracting customers and facing various problems to stand in the place. Fighting with all these problems, they continue their business. Today, I am a journalist for a day for the 5th week of the Steemit Challenge by @max-pro to write about the struggle of hawkers.

I will review the business of a roadside fruit vendor. He starts his business here every morning and returns at night with all his goods because he has no permanent house to keep them. This is a lot of work in the life of a hawker. Every day he brings the goods to a place and arranges them and then picks them up and returns after the day's business. I will review the shop of Battalar near Thana More in Dinajpur.

I shop from these shops most of the time. I buy a small amount of bachelor's fruit, which I don't want to give when I go to buy it from a big market and the price is high. When I go to buy from these shops, I can bargain with them and at the same time I can take a small amount. I mostly buy dates, pineapples, guavas, and seasonal fruits. Let's mention the price of the fruits according to today's review.
| Apple | 1kg | 300 taka | 30steem |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orange | 1kg | 360 taka | 36 steem |
| Desi orange | 1kg | 180 taka | 18 steem |
| Guava | 1kg | 70 taka | 7 steem |
| Dragon fruit | 1kg | 160 taka | 16 steem |
| Pomegranate | 1kg | 400 taka | 40 steem |
| Papaya | 1kg | 120 taka | 12steem |
| Watermelon | 1kg | 60 taka | 6 steem |
| Pineapple | 1kg | 50 taka | 5 steem |
| Banana | 1 dozen | 120 taka | 12 steem |
| Dates | 1 kg | 600 taka | 60 steem |
Trading on footpaths is a legal crime. Footpaths are for pedestrians, but certain places such as intersections or large open spaces where people gather and the general public does not have a problem walking, can be used for business. Footpath occupation and eviction are terrible times for hawkers. They make a living by doing business in these places with little capital but they face big problems during the eviction drive, although later it is resumed with financial collusion but in between they face losses. Also, they have to pay bribes sometimes to unethical opportunistic officers of the administration and sometimes to local political influential people. Even if they do not have to rent a specific place or building for their business, they have to pay bribes which stops them financially.
These businesses have many types of obstacles. They have to face many challenges from the business license and legally. Business on the sidewalk is illegal which has to be listened to by the common people and after the eviction drive. They have to be hostages to influential political leaders which has to continue the business in exchange for money.
Street hawkers are small businessmen and they hope to run their business with little capital. This business helps them to earn a living. They hope to be able to do business without fear of extortion or eviction.

¡Holaaa amigo!🤗
