"SLC27-W1 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Festival-centric business."
♥Assalamu alaikum♥
I am @boishakhi123, a member of the Steemit platform. I joined this platform to share my feelings and likes with this platform. Today I came up with a new post.
Assalamu Alaikum How are you all? I hope you are well. I am well, Alhamdulillah. Today I will share with you the reviews of some food shops at the festival center on the day of the festival. Basically, this is Durga Puja. This Durga Puja took place in Feni. The pavilion of this Durga Puja was located next to Feni Life Care Hospital. That day, my sister-in-law's daughter was supposed to be seen by a doctor. That's why I also went with my sister. I haven't been to Feni for a long time.

Everything in Feni city is very beautiful. Especially beautiful at night. We went to that place in the afternoon. My niece had a doctor's appointment at five in the afternoon. We left home one hour earlier. And before seeing the doctor, I took some pictures of the shops of the street vendors on the side of the road next to the puja. They were selling various items on the occasion of the puja. And by the time my niece finished seeing the doctor, it was almost evening. In the evening, we took some pictures of the puja pavilion and the surroundings of the puja.

In the puja pavilion in Feni, two policemen are standing on both sides in front of the gate. In addition, there is another gate in front of the gate, at which another policeman is standing and maintaining safety. And street vendors have been prohibited from going in front of the puja pavilion. That is why they are sitting a little away from the puja pavilion. Many security guards have been provided in the puja pavilion. As a result, everyone is able to move around while maintaining safety. Because if there is no safety, no one likes to go to that place during the festival.
1 .What are the Festival-centric businesses in your area? |
---|
There are many festival-centric businesses in my area. Which cannot be ended. If I talk about these festival-centric businesses, then first I will talk about the fuchka shop. Because these things like fuchka, chatopti are available around all kinds of festivals. Apart from this, there are clothes shops, cosmetic shops, egg shops, and many other types of fruit businesses. Those who do business on the side of the road always sell different types of fuchka, chatopti, haleem, as well as cosmetics, clothes and other things on the side of the road.

And their sales are low throughout the year and their income is also low. And during the festival, they sell these things on the side of the road with the hope of earning some money. That is why they sit on the side of the road with different types of new things during the festival itself. They try to increase the attraction of buyers. Because if they attract their attention, the income will be a lot. The seller can earn some money at this time. The money that they could not earn throughout the year, they can earn some money during the festival. That is why these street traders sit on the side of the road.

2.Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices. |
---|
I definitely tried to eat something from the shops. Because they are selling these things with so much effort. It is very difficult for them to stand in the sun all day to sell these things. That is why I thought I would try some Bhelpuri from them. There were not many street vendors here in the afternoon, everyone arrived here in the evening. We went there in the afternoon and by the time we left after seeing my niece to the doctor, it was already evening. And then we felt a little hungry.

For this, we went to a Bhelpuri shop on the side of the road. Going to the Bhelpuri shop, we ordered two plates of Bhelpuri. Two in one plate, a total of four Bhelpuris were ordered. We did not eat much Bhelpuri. Because if Bhelpuris are not fun. That is why we did not order much Bhelpuri. We only tasted the puris. Anyway, these Bhelpuris were a lot of fun to eat. I like eating Bhelpuri a lot. Bhelpuri is one of my favorite dishes among spicy foods. I don't like things like fuchka and chatpati that much. But I like bhelpuri a lot. If the two things, sour and spicy, are nicely mixed in bhelpuri, then it is very fun to eat.
3.Why are people more attracted to street stalls during festivals? |
---|
During festivals, people like to shop from roadside shops. Many types of goods are brought to roadside shops during festivals. Which have many units. People like these many things a lot. And it is natural that people like to buy new types of things. At this time, people like to eat and shop from roadside shops.

Again, many handmade items are sold during festivals. For example, people make garlands with oysters and make different types of chandeliers and sell them on the streets during festivals. And the things that seem new. That is why everyone likes to buy them. Apart from this, people sell handmade cakes, puddings, rasmalai, pitha puli, and also different types of things such as pickles, chips. Also, different types of sherbet fairs are held on the roadside. Different types of fruit sherbet attract people. People eat them even to test them. And the sellers are present on the roadside with these wonderful things to attract their attention first.

4 .Are these businesses contributing to preserving local culture? |
---|
The people of our culture are very interested in preserving the old traditions. To maintain the old traditions, everyone brings the old cultural items to fairs or festivals and sells them. Various types of handmade items are sold at festivals. Such as handmade hand fans, sitting mats, brooms, and other types of handicrafts are also available. Such as jute bags, there are also various types of jute items. Which help maintain the old traditions.

In addition, when people come here, I make different types of pitha and sell them. These help maintain the old traditions. Because in the present era, no one makes these things, no one likes to eat pitha puli. However, when vendors sell them here during festivals, people eat a little bit to enjoy the new taste. Because these things will never be available again. These things do not exist without festivals. During festivals, there is a combination of different types of things.
Anyway, I am sharing many pictures with you today and some reviews of the street vendors around this puja pavilion. I hope you like it. I am saying goodbye here today. Thank you all.
