steem Dear friends! You must be aware that we have reached the sixth and final week of "steemit challenge season 27". This week, dear @max-pro brother has organized a review of the street raw material business and pinned it on "steem atlas". He has given the title, slc27-w6 | a one-day street journalist: Street raw material business. I am participating in this beautiful competition.

As a one-day street journalist, today I will review the shop of a vegetable trader among the street raw material traders. Vegetables are one of the daily necessities of our lives. To fulfill this need of ours, various vegetable traders run their businesses on the side of the road. Just as these vegetable traders of raw materials on the side of the road meet our needs. In the same way, through this business, they also earn a living and fulfill their own needs.

What vegetables are available at the vegetable shop you will review?

The vegetable shop I am reviewing is located in Chongachha Bazar, Sirajganj Sadar Police Station. If you want, you can easily reach Chongachha Bazar from Sirajganj city, by CNG or any other means of transport.
The name of the businessman of the shop I am discussing is Md. Shamim Reza. All the necessary vegetables including seasonal vegetables are available in Shamim Reza Bhai's shop. However, I am mentioning the names of some vegetables. Potatoes 🥔, Brinjal 🍆, Gourds, Potol, Sweet Pumpkin, Gourd, Papaya, Cabbage, Cucumber and all kinds of seasonal vegetables. Apart from these, spices include onions, green chilies, ginger and garlic etc. That is, if you think that you will buy all the vegetables you need at Shamim Bhai's shop, then you can buy them.

Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

Why not? Of course! I buy vegetables from my discussed Shamim Bhai's vegetable shop, at least two days a week, as per my family's needs.
On the day of my visit, I also bought various necessary vegetables including potatoes, brinjals, onions, chillies, and cabbage.
Shamim Bhai and other vegetable vendors in Chongachha Bazar sell vegetables here every day from morning to night. Also, there is a market in this market two days a week (every Saturday and Wednesday). And in addition to these shops, many other vegetable vendors sell their vegetables on these market days. And the number of buyers also increases significantly on these two days of the market compared to other days of the week.

How do they manage losses when vegetable prices fluctuate?

Just like the prices of other products do not remain constant, but fluctuate. Similarly, raw vegetables are no exception. If the production and import are more than the demand of the buyers, the price of vegetables is usually lower in the market. And also in the winter season, since a variety of vegetables are available, as a result of which the price is usually lower. On the other hand, if the production and import of vegetables is less than the demand of the buyers, then the price of vegetables increases in the market. And this situation usually happens during the rainy season. In this fluctuation of vegetable prices, traders usually incur very little loss. Because they buy the amount of vegetables that they think they can sell every day. And they sell them in accordance with the purchase price. If the price of vegetables increases, they sell them at a higher price. On the other hand, when the price decreases, they try to sell the low-priced vegetables and perishables quickly. And the prices of all vegetables do not fluctuate together. Rather, the prices of some vegetables increase and the prices of some vegetables decrease. Due to which they are able to keep their balance.

How do they survive when there is a lack of buyers in the market?

Today, I am discussing the vegetable sellers in the market. This market usually does not have a lack of buyers except during natural disasters. Also, although there are fewer buyers on other days of the week, there are sufficient buyers on the two days when the market is open. Due to which, although the sales on other days are a little less, the vegetable sellers sell a sufficient amount on these two days of the market. Due to which their lack of buyers is not understood at home. Also, during natural disasters, i.e. during excessive rain and storms, the number of buyers is usually a little less. Then they themselves buy a little less quantity when buying vegetables. And they try to sell the perishable vegetables quickly. Thus, they have to manage their business by adopting various strategies.

Finally, these vegetable sellers on the roadside and in the market are helping us fulfill our daily needs. And through this, they are also benefiting themselves. These traders are an integral part of our society. They are also our brothers. We should all talk and interact with them while maintaining the bond of brotherhood. I am ending here today. Allah Hafez.
