Greetings,

Full view of van
Assalamu Alaikum to all of my steemian friends. Today I am going to participant SLC27-W6 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Street raw material business.Thank you very much @max-pro for this contest.
Vegetables are a daily necessity for us. Vegetables contain a lot of vitamins and minerals. We cannot imagine our daily food list without vegetables. And to buy this essential item, we constantly visit these hawker vans. Today, through this contest, I will try to learn something about those hawkers and tell you something.
What vegetables are available at the vegetable shop you will review?
 |
| Proof of my presence |
 |
| Raw papaya |
The vegetable shop that I will review today is located at the busiest intersection of Kazi Nazrul Islam Road. Many people buy their necessary vegetables in this van every day. This van is more crowded with customers after evening. Almost all types of vegetables are available in this van. Although I could not find cauliflower in the vegetable shop today, I came to know from talking to the seller that the price of cauliflower is relatively high and he did not keep cauliflower in his collection today. Moreover, various other vegetables are available in this van.The vegetable vendor had a large collection of vegetables and each vegetable seemed fresh to me, which would attract any buyer towards the vegetables in the van.
Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

| Purchase this vegetables |
I always try to buy all the vegetables that I need daily from these street vendors. Because they buy vegetables at wholesale prices from the regular market and sell them in vans. So these vegetables are easily available to us and the vegetables are relatively fresh. And I think that in some cases the prices of vegetables in vans are relatively lower than in the market. Moreover, when buying vegetables from vans, we can see the vegetables with our own hands and buy the vegetables we like. Which is often not possible when buying vegetables from the market.

Today I bought a ripe papaya from this van. The seller cut the papaya and assured me that the color inside was beautiful and that it would be delicious to eat.
How do they manage losses when vegetable prices fluctuate?
 |
| Bottled water is sprinkled on vegetables to keep them fresh |
 |
| Papaya being weighed |
Vegetable prices often fluctuate. Although vegetable prices are somewhat stable and tolerable in winter, prices are higher in summer due to scarcity and vegetable prices fluctuate more. When vegetable prices fluctuate, sellers buy and sell vegetables in bulk at relatively low prices. This reduces the possibility of loss. Some buyers are interested in buying low-priced vegetables, so the vegetable sellers do not waste their vegetables. There are also some vegetables whose prices are relatively high, but if they are sold in small quantities, the possibility of loss for hawkers is reduced.During this time, some hawkers try to recoup their losses by changing their products or changing their location.
How do they survive when there is a lack of buyers in the market?
 |
| Various vegetables |
 |
| Weight machine |
When the number of buyers is low, these street hawkers face difficulties. But to overcome that difficulty, they adopt different methods of their own. However, since they are engaged in perishable, low-profit and low-capital business, they first try to attract customers by lowering the price of their products. Since there is no way to store perishable products, many hawkers try to sell vegetables even by changing the location. Store the products that can be stored (potatoes, garlic, onions) and try to sell them later.Even then, it's a bit difficult for them to survive in these moments.
