SLC31-W1 || Our Surroundings A Series of Real Life Experiences ; Brickfields & Fuel Stations
Assalamu Alaikum My sincere wishes and love to everyone. Today I am going to participate in the first week of Steemit Challenge Season 31. Which is really a wonderful and practical initiative. This beautiful challenge has been organized by our dear Steemit member @kibreay001 brother and @adeljose brother in collaboration with him. To whom I express my sincere gratitude. They have created a wonderful opportunity for us titled “Our Surroundings A Series of Real Life Experiences”. Through which we can share the real experiences of our surroundings with everyone. Through this challenge, we do not just visit a place. Rather, we get the opportunity to see the environment, people's lifestyle and real situations of that place up close. So today I am going to share with you the story of visiting a brick kiln from my real experience.
1 What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.
I visited a brickfield. It is a very well-known industrial establishment in our area. This brickfield is located next to the area of one of my relatives. It is right next to the road when going from Badarganj to Shyampur. As a result, the place is very visible to everyone and it is also quite convenient for transportation. I reach there in about 20 to 30 minutes by rickshaw or autorickshaw from my house. When I went there in the afternoon, I saw bricks arranged in a huge area around. Smoke was rising from the long chimney and the workers were leaving for home after finishing their day's work. The whole atmosphere was very busy and industrious, which shows that it is an active production center.

This brick kiln is locally known as ZMB Brickfield. And it has been operating in this area for several years. It has become known as a reliable brick supplier to the people of the area. Its location is very convenient. Because it is located next to the main road. As a result, it is easy to reach here by various vehicles and it is also easy to transport bricks from here. When I went there. Then I saw a signboard on the side of the road. Which carries the identity of the brick kiln. I added the exact location pin of this place in Steem Atlas. So that someone can easily find this place and can go here to gain real experience.
3 Type of work & Workers’ lifestyle
In this brick kiln, the entire process of making bricks from clay is basically completed. Which is completed through many steps. First, the clay is collected and made into bricks of a certain shape. Then they are dried in the sun and then burned in a kiln to become hard bricks. When I went there, I saw the workers doing their work with great diligence. Some are cutting clay, some are making bricks, and some are arranging the dried bricks. Their work is very difficult and time-consuming. The life of the workers is also quite difficult. They usually work as daily laborers and depend on daily income. Many workers live in small houses next to the kiln, sometimes their families also live there. Even after working all day in dusty and difficult conditions, they continue this work for the sake of livelihood, which is truly commendable.
4 Environmental impact & (With pictures + videos)
The environmental impact of brick kilns is a very important issue. Which I have been able to experience firsthand. On the one hand, it creates employment opportunities for the local people. And provides bricks for construction work. Which is very important in our daily lives. But on the other hand, it also has some negative effects. The smoke emitted from the kiln chimneys pollutes the surrounding environment and worsens the air quality. In addition, the cutting of soil for making bricks reduces the fertility of the land and also damages the surrounding vegetation. When I was there. I clearly felt the effects of smoke and dust. Which can be harmful to health if left for a long time. The pictures I took clearly show the piles of bricks, chimneys and working environment. Which will help you understand the real condition of this place.
