Some of the Added Qualities of Being Silent.

in Project HOPE4 years ago

Silence is gold and even if talking has become a developed habit for so many people we will see very wealthy people who have cultivated the habit of being silent and we are left to wonder the reason why this is so.

Certainly, not everyone can become an introvert some occupations need people who are outspoken and extreme extroverts to become successful at it. There are some reasons why those who appear to be really quiet usually have a greater level of accomplishments.

They are great planners.

Silent people who have learnt not to talk too much usually have the time for personal reflections and this gives them the space to set more time and more target. This character of keeping to themselves gives them the time to do a lot of personal reflection and process a lot of information’s in their minds.

They are good listeners.

Quiet people are usually good listeners, while everyone else is trying to show off their well-spoken skill, silent people are listening to everything that everyone is saying and they are trying to process the information in their minds. Good listeners are usually very smart people who learn to listen more than they speak, therefore taking into consideration so many information and advice that people have to give.

They are usually creative.

Since quiet people usually spend time on their own, they have a lot of personal reflections going on in their heads and this makes them come up with extremely brilliant ideas that makes their business or whatever venture they are into more productive.

They understand the power of words and they use it efficiently.

It is not just a lousy person that can convince people to buy a product, quiet people often select their words carefully and it is easy for them to convince a prospect to buy from them easily without much persuasion since every spoken word has been carefully selected.

They are great observers and they keep only the best people.

Quiet people usually watch their circle and they have very few and limited friends around them, they tend to keep only good people that can add value to their lives and possibly overlook or ignore every other person that comes along.

Note: Not all silent people are successful and not lousy people are unsuccessful, it is merely a habit of taking advantage of some of the skills that come to us naturally and using it well to our own advantage.

Hello @ajewa! I particularly like at times to be in silence to be able to organize my thoughts and reflect on a particular aspect, it makes me connect with myself through prayer. I have observed how there are people who talk and talk and in the end say nothing, you have to know when to talk and when to be silent. Greetings!

It is a very good skill to know when to be silent and when to speak.

Greetings @ajewa

Silence is perhaps an act of prudence, and this second is a virtue that should accompany us at all times, this because as you mention in your publication silence is gold and even if talking has become a habit, however, this habit applies at times where we are usually exposed to an exchange of heated words, On the other hand, in the case of business contexts, silence can be interpreted as a bad habit, since the ideal is that the entrepreneur or salesperson should act in an extroverted way. Excellent publication.

Thanks for the observation, really appreciated.

Hello friend, I consider myself a silent person, the truth is I think I am a person of few words hehehe especially at the beginning, but I like silence and solitude, I am not afraid of either, I know they have great benefits. We can all implement a little silence in our lives, in our daily lives, there are studies that say that it greatly improves our creativity and also allows us to self-evaluate. Greetings!!!

I also noticed that silent people usually get sufficient time for a deep personal reflection and at the end they make very smart decisions.

Silence is gold indeed like you said, silent people tend to think more before they speak.
