SC-S29/W2- Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : My School Days
Hello Teaching Team |
|---|
Hello My Steemain Friends ,
Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S29- W2: which is all time my favourite topic ""Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : My School Days"""" this amazing challenge organised by @sohanurrahman.
A moment that defines your school life |
|---|
When I was in third class, my cousin sister and I got admitted to a new school. My cousin sister went in the morning shift, and when I went to school in the second shift, I couldn't find her. The school was new, so I didn't know anyone to ask. So I went straight to the principal's office, and I didn't know anyone there either. I didn't even know what the principal's nature was like, and I was quite young myself. So I told the principal that I couldn't find my sister. She said, "Okay, dear, let's see."
But I was watching her from a distance, and her eyes were blinking repeatedly, so I thought that doing that must be a good thing. I was observing her quite carefully, so after a while, when I went to her again, I also blinked my eyes and told her, "Ma'am, I still haven't found my sister." She didn't pay attention, otherwise, I would have been in big trouble that day. Later, I found out that she had a problem that caused her eyes to blink repeatedly, and I also learned that she was a very dangerous principal, someone no one in the entire school dared to speak to. I still remember this; I still laugh when I think about it today.
Describe how you felt as a student |
|---|
As a student, I was always enthusiastic and a little fearful too. Because I was an average student, neither a topper nor far behind. I was always eager to learn new things or participate in competitions. I just made sure that it didn't cost my parents anything, and I always tried to pay attention to what the teachers were teaching in school so that I could answer their questions and they wouldn't insult me. Because our family's financial situation wasn't very good since my father had passed away, I couldn't join any coaching classes.
A friend or teacher who mattered to you |
|---|
When I was in ninth grade, my father passed away. After that, my mother became very ill, so I didn't go to school for about two to three months. After that, when I started going again, I quickly caught up on my work by getting notes from my friends. My class teacher at that time was Kalpana Awasthi.
When she scolded me and asked why I hadn't been coming to class for so many days, I explained my situation to her. She supported me and told the whole class that they should help me whenever I needed anything. Later, when the ninth-grade annual exams were held and I passed with good marks, she praised me in front of the whole class, saying that despite facing so many problems and being absent from class, my result was so good. It was commendable. That moment was a very proud one for me, and I still remember it today.
A mistake or lesson from school life |
|---|
In 11th grade, I had a friend whom I considered my best friend. We sat together in class, ate lunch together; we were very good friends. Her name was Ritu Agarwal. When we had an exam, we were sitting together, and she asked me a question from the exam. At first, I refused to tell her, saying that the teacher would scold us. Then she said, "My mother says that a friend helps a friend, so won't you help me?" Hearing this, I showed her my answer.
A little later, I needed to ask her something, but she flatly refused, even though she had just cheated a few moments earlier. I got very angry. I asked her, "What happened to your mother's teachings? Did you forget?" I said a few harsh words to her. Although she eventually showed me the answer, I understood the true nature of our friendship. It wasn't a genuine friendship.
Reflect on how those school days shaped who you are now |
|---|
I have always believed in hard work, that if you work hard, you will definitely get the results. As I mentioned, I was frequently absent from class, but I didn't shy away from hard work, and that's why I got good marks. I still follow the same principle today: if you work hard, the result will be good. And learning is one of my habits.

I am not ashamed to say that I don't know something. Even today, if I don't know something, I ask. The learning habits I developed in school, in my childhood, still serve me well today. And I really like this habit of mine.
I want to invite my friends to take part in this contest: , @lirvic , @max-pro , @sualeha"
Thankyou 🙏
