SC-S29/W2- Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : My School Days

I still remember my first day of school at my town's primary school as if it were yesterday. Even though I arrived hand-in-hand with my siblings, who also studied there, I was filled with fear because I didn't know what to expect from my first time in school.
I clearly remember lining up before entering the classroom and then sitting in the back row for the same reason: the unfounded fear of the unknown. This anxiety dissipated when I saw that many children like me were in the classroom, eager to learn and share a meaningful and fun school experience.
As classes progressed, and with the assignment of homework and its successful completion, I gradually earned the respect and admiration of my classmates. I learned easily and stood out among them. By the end of the first week, I had already formed a group of friends with whom I shared both recreational time and school activities.
As a student, I felt fulfilled, satisfied, and very accepted. Spending an afternoon at school made me happy because I had so much fun with my friends, and the teachers, impressed by my good behavior and performance, gave me special treatment.

I remember my teacher, Felicita, who others considered very demanding and strict, but somehow she liked me a lot and trusted me greatly. Because of this, I was among her most diligent students, to the point that she once chose me to learn a speech and recite it in front of the entire school. I'll never forget that day because nerves got the better of me, and although I knew the speech perfectly, halfway through, I forgot it. Instead of reciting it from memory as planned, I had to read it.
Another teacher who imposed a lot of discipline on me from the moment I arrived at school was Morelia. I never stopped being afraid of her because it was strange to see her smile, and she didn't like to see us playing around.

Discipline was necessary in school/ @leonciocast / Apure-Venezuela / January 2026
A significant experience in my classroom occurred when one of my classmates stole a toy that another child had brought. While we were playing in the school's central courtyard, I saw him give it to his brother, who was in a higher grade than us.
When the teacher intervened to try to recover the lost toy, she searched all of us. When it was my turn, I told the teacher what I knew, even though that boy had threatened to have his older brother beat me up if I told anyone.
I have always been a firm believer in honesty and truth, and even though that older boy might try to hit me, I knew I had to be brave and report him because it was the right thing to do.
Today, I firmly and wholeheartedly uphold these values and principles, learned at home and reinforced during my school years, and I know that thanks to them, my life has been more peaceful, upright, fair, and exemplary.

As a teacher, I know that school life is valuable./ @leonciocast / Apure-Venezuela / January 2026

Greetings,
Thank you so much for participating in the contest.
The first day of school life is a little scary for young children because the school environment, how the people there will be for them, and also meeting so many children in one place, these things create some fear in them.
You adapted to school very quickly and have established yourself as an acceptable student in school, which is the best thing.
It is natural for a small child to forget while giving speech. However, I think the way your teacher helped you should really be a blessing for any child.
Another thing that impressed me was how brave you were in school life. When these qualities are developed from a young age, they strengthen our character later on.
