SLC S-30-W6 || "Traditional Steam Cooking- Steamed Cake"
Hello my steemit friends. It’s time for another edition of steam cooking. The last on this season challenge and I must say that I was glad to be a part of this season challenge and I learnt a lot of ways that we can cook healthy using steam. It was a six weeks of fun. Join me as we make steamed cake.
Have you ever prepared a steamed cake, or have you eaten a cake that was prepared by steaming? Please describe it shortly
Today was my first time of making steamed cake. Infact it was a suprised to me. I never knew that steam can be used to bake cake. I’ve done a lot of oven baking of cake in the past and I have even used sand to bake in a pot to improvise for oven.
It was a pleasant suprise and a pleasant experience to try out steam baking for cake today. I love the fact that I learnt something new today. The process was seamless as I simply followed the instructions given and I totally enjoyed all of it. Thank you ma’am for this eye opening way of baking cake as against what is popular. I love it.
Make the "Steamed Cake" or any similar dish that are shared in the course, or make them as per your style, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images.

I proceeded to add vanilla flavour to it and milk and then continued to whisk

The next thing I did was to grease my baking pan with butter ready to pour in my cake mix.

I put water in a pot and allowed to steam for a while. I put my batter into the greased pan and set on the steam pan and covered it and allowed to steam for about 25 minutes. I put a tester into the cake and it was sticky free and that’s how I knew my steamed cake was ready.
