The Diary Game | Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | My husband's surgery schedule
Hi Steemians, how are you? I hope we are always healthy and happy. There is no more valuable blessing in this world than health. No matter how much wealth and power we have, it feels meaningless if our body and soul are sick. So let's always keep our bodies healthy. If our body is healthy, of course our activities and all our routines will run smoothly and well.
Today is the third day my husband is being treated at Awal Bros Hospital, Batam City, Indonesia. A traffic accident made him have to be treated intensively here for the next few days. Of course, as his wife, I must always be by his side. Caring for him, supporting him, and of course praying to God for his recovery.
In the morning after the morning prayer, I cleaned my husband's body with wet wipes and then helped him clean his mouth with Betadine mouthwash. After that, I took a shower and when the food service staff delivered my husband's porridge, I then fed him breakfast. Shortly after, the nurse checked my husband's condition, measured his blood pressure, measured his body temperature, and changed his IV fluids.
A few minutes later I gave my husband a snack, today it was a piece of sponge cake and warm sweet tea. I fed him the piece of sponge cake bit by bit until it was finished and gave the warm sweet tea with a small pipette to my husband's mouth. For eating and drinking at this time my husband was not able to do it himself because both of his hands were still bandaged from the accident.
After chatting for a while, my husband then slept soundly until he snored. While my husband slept I sat in front of my husband's treatment room. While resting I opened my phone and answered all the incoming chats. I also opened the Steemit platform and made my posts little by little. Filling time with writing is very enjoyable.
As noon approached, I finished my post and returned to my husband's room. It was time for lunch, so I gently woke him. After he woke, I repeated the meal with porridge and chicken soup. He only ate half a portion. Afterward, he lay back down and watched the TV provided as part of the hospital's facilities.

After my husband went back to rest, I then had lunch and performed the Dhuhr prayer. I continued to pray for my husband that his health would improve. I also asked God that the operation that my husband would undergo this afternoon would go well and smoothly.
After finishing the prayer, I chatted with my husband who had woken up from his sleep. Not long after, the doctor who was treating my husband came in to check on my husband's condition. The doctor also explained the planned operation that would be held later that afternoon. The doctor asked about my husband's readiness and my husband answered well.
When evening came, I prayed Asr prayer and then didn't forget to pray again and ask God for my husband to be patient and strong to undergo this operation well and smoothly. I continued to encourage my husband because he was a little scared. Before the operation began, I cleaned his body.
Not long after, the nurse came with a wheelchair and we got ready to go to the operating room. The nurse pushed my husband's wheelchair, I followed from behind until we arrived at the operating room. Then my husband lay down on the bed. The nurse in the room prepared for my husband. My husband was checked again everything.

A moment later the plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist entered the operating room. The operation began immediately, my husband's bed was slowly pushed into the operating room. Before entering the operating room door, I calmed my husband down again, prayed, and kissed his forehead.
Feelings of sadness, worry, and anxiety mixed together in my heart and mind. But I had to appear strong, patient, and support my husband. Next, I waited outside the operating room with my father, mother-in-law, and my sisters-in-law who were already in the waiting room.
I walked over to them and sat with them until the operation was over. When the call to prayer for Maghrib was heard, I went to my husband's ward in Ursinia room 161 to perform Maghrib prayers, I kept praying that the operation on my husband's cheek and hand would go well. After praying, I took the time to have dinner, after which I returned to wait in the operating room.

Approaching 10:00 PM, my husband's operation was finally over. Alhamdulillah, it went smoothly. The nurse moved my husband's bed back to the treatment room in Ursinia room 161. Not long after, my husband woke up and complained of feeling cold. I immediately put thick socks on his feet and covered him tightly.
Not long after, my husband fell asleep again. All the family saw my husband's condition and because it was already late at night, I told them to go home and come back tomorrow to visit him. After the Isha prayer, I finally fell asleep beside my husband.
That's my diary today, I ask my Steemian friends to help pray for my husband to recover, to be healthy again soon. Thank you for everything and see you later.
